What about Fairford? I see loads of US bombers and spy planes fly over me ...normally when I'm trying to follow the plot of something on the telly ffs
No flying unit is actively stationed there at the moment. There are support groups to aid operations at Lakenheath and Mildenhall though, but no regular flying squadrons.

Back when I was young and living in Kirkby, Mum would get tins of that for sweetening. Me and my brothers would tuck into the tin with spoons, slurp!

Ran out of yoghurts for the kids last night, so they had some custard instead. There was me, spoon in hand, sneakily scoffing a few gobfuls in the kitchen on the sly. Slurp indeed.

I need a good onion bhaji recipe. Mine are always either too stodgy or too oily.

I WANT ONION BHAJIS.

I've tried these a few times but just can't get it either!

On a similar note though, this is probably the closest I've come to nailing pilau rice (in a microwave rice cooker):

1 serving:
2 parts water to a smidge under 1 part (rinsed) basmati rice
1 level tsp fennel seeds
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Just the seeds out of 5 cardamon pods
knob of butter

99% of recipes I saw involved cumin, which I'm certain now is wrong, getting rid was the difference between it tasting right and tasting like the pre-made supermarket stuff.

Also swerve making it yellow unless you're posh and have saffron, food colouring has a nasty taste, but not nearly as bad as tumeric.

If you're making a fruit cake soak the dried fruit overnight in cold tea, or the alcohol of your choice. The fruit becomes plumpelicious.

Homemade Fudge lads. Simple and easy.

1 Can (14oz) of sweetened condensed milk
3 cups of Chocolate chips

Empty the can in a bowl and mix in the chocolate chips.
Microwave on high for 1 minute.
Stir until everything is mixed together.
Empty the contents into a small baking tray ( 8 x 8 ). Line the baking tray with foil and grease it down.
Chill in the Fridge for 2 or 3 hours.

Done.

Well this didn't sodding work.
