Wasn't Lewandowski already there. Besides a comittee makes the transfers there.

Good to see an English footbal club, importing a foreign coach to play high tempo and pressing football, the exact attributes Englush football and coaches Are renowned for.

It can only end well.
No. He joined around 2010 or 2011 (I think the former) and Klopp became the manager in 2008, so he's definitely under his tenure..

Also, according to reports, he played a huge part in transfers. He pretty much managed everything regardless of whether if it was under his remit.

Hang on lads, I think were going to be OK with Klopp, he's just called Milner 'the complete football player'
(and that's a cracking picture by the way)

Revealed: The Liverpool player Jurgen Klopp believes is the 'complete footballer'

JURGEN KLOPP has praised his Liverpool squad and believes England international James Milner is the complete footballer.
The new Reds boss took charge of his new side for the first time on Saturday, in the 0-0 draw against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
Despite the result, Klopp insists he has a good squad, capable of challenging the best sides in the Premier League.
"We don't have to sprinkle magical dust on them: 'and now you can play football'. They know how to play. We just have to create a situation where it is possible to do this," Klopp said.

COMPLETE: Klopp has reserved high praise for England international James Milner

“Milner? The complete football player, the perfect professional”

"I am not sure how many games you saw like this from Adam Lallana? I know him from Southampton and he can do 20-30 per cent more.

"Philippe Coutinho? Do you not think he can play better football than today? Of course, he can.

"Lucas? You don't think he can play balls on the right and left side? Of course, he can. Emre Can? Learning between running and passing? He can learn.

Think David Moyes, with a dodgy smile eulogising Phil Neville.

Apparently when Klopp was asked about Howard Kendall on Saturday he didn't know who he was. When asked if wanted to pass on his condolences he said:
"It’s not so fair to bring me this situation after one week. I don’t know so much about British football or British legends. There are other people at the club who can do this better".

Classy response there you see. A special mention to the RAWK lurkers who on the forum. Some of the tributes to Kendall on Rawk have used the hashtag "#blueshite". Classy as always, maybe it's a term of endearment because of some grandma in Uruguay again? Or it's not offensive to use foul language of the dead?

For any of the RAWK lurkers, put the above on your forum, you should be ashamed of your manager.

Disappointing from Klopp and the club that, surely they could have briefed him with a line or two of condolence, also, most reds, certainly the ones I know have been excellent over the passing of Howard, even the BBC who normally see fit to ignore us gave his passing a good degree of importance and I thought Lawrenson spoke well, we don't need to worry about RAWK's out of town vermin trying too hard as always

Pretty much every red I've spoke to or heard a comment from have been very respectful over the passing of Kendall. Mutual respect from different times maybe but nice touch all the same.

RAWK is full of our of town scruffs trying to hard to prove their red credentials by 'ating der bitters. They don't get the city as they have nothing to do with it.

Hey RAWK it's quite insulting to us and Howards memory to post you're throw away RIP Howard posts and then follow it up with the hash tag blue shyte. Then again respect for other clubs dead is not you're forte as you proved when you booed and jeered during Brian Cloughs minute silence at Anfield. That lot have a go at us for blaming Heysell for all our problems yet i read a comment from a red shyte on an online article blaming Hillsborough for their fall from grace. They really are a proper shower of scum.

Beautiful, thanks for writing this. Just one quibble:

“… a good eight years before Alex Ferguson made perch demolition his life’s work.”

Please, let’s not give credit where it’s not due. It wasn’t Ferguson who knocked Liverpool off their perch, it was Hillsborough. He’s been the fortunate beneficiary of that tragedy for most of the last 20 years, but until 15 April 1989 there wasn’t the slightest sign that Liverpool wouldn’t continue to dominate, or that Dalglish wouldn’t go on to before the most successful manager of them all.
