Dont seem like the worst consortium in the world. 2 definite billionaires on the board and another couple of close to billionaires if not already. Heineman is on the board as CEO of the club so thats his job- not worth huge money but seems to be good at what he does.

Living in the States - They really are one of the better owners in the MLS. I don't know the specifics of all the owners but I do know it has a reputation of creating a great fan experience. The stadium was built in with future growth in mind and the ability to appear to the players with amenities. Whether is goes anywhere or not I don't know but I am sure they are more progressive thinkers that what Everton has. The one misstep that I am aware of is the stadium was originally affiliated with Lance Armstrong and they got caught up with that.

So Cliff Illig seems to be a primary investor in Sporting KC, and also a billionaire. Mike Illig (his son?) has apparently been tweeting about Everton for a while and was at Duncan's testimonial
