Computer games.

practically, a 2d minecraft yeah. It has bosses and stuff in it whilst keeping it all simplistic. i probably wont but i can saee why people pile hours into the game, you start mining a wall and 2 hours fly by haha me last night was the equivalent of playing a few matches on fifa or finding the crow bar in half life
I do that on most games, diablo 3 is that game for me just spend hours on it and don't realise I have

its relaxing to be honest. nicey music and bright colours/sprites and the fact that you can spend so much time doing very litttle is i guess the draw of these sorts of games. I owuldnt buy terraria but id spend a couple hours unwinding with it

this game was crap. I really like The Battlefield - series, but this whole game is ruined because of the weapons. Most importantly, there is no recoil, and you can hit people miles away with the simplest of guns.

Wouldn't go as far as saying it's crap, but yeah I'm not impressed with the Beta as such. Very very shallow and your point about the gunplay is spot on; but my biggest issue is with the hit detection, which is REALLY bad.

I can imagine a lot of people getting bored inside a few hours.

Had a good go on Battlefront just now.

Quite the quandary for me.

I can tell it's great. Looks bloody amazing. And it's Star Wars.

But, I'm utterly wank at it. Did 3 of those battle things. Each time finishing bottom with about 3 kills but been killed about 19 times. (Did win the last match for the team like!).

And that's the problem with these online only type games. Some divs around the globe will just play this. Day in. Day out. Sadly I have a job and a bit of a life so can't play it religiously to 'level up' or whatever you call it. I doubt I'll get much better to be honest.

Multi player games like this don't really seem to cater for the more casual gamer. It seems to me anyway.

Massive shame there's no single player story campaign type thing.

Agreed.

It's screaming out for a Bioshock Infinite type of game with the same engine. The game looks incredible, but not much substance. It's a result of game developers thinking people don't buy games unless its' multiplayer - I wish they'd stop thinking that, given games like Skyrim was one of the biggest sellers ever and Half Life is one of the most eagerly anticipated games ever - and Fallout is the most anticipated game this year.

Been gaming online tonight. A rarity for me as I'm more of a single player campaign guy.

Metal Gear Online first, which is a surprising amount of fun and not too punishing for the MGO n00b :)

Now on FIFA 16 and hating the new passing as I am crap at it and cant string more than 3 together without being closed down by people much better than me... ie everyone :(

brenfitz83 is my XBox One ID if anyone fancies an easy victory on either. Plus I am in need of friends as I've not long had it :p

The more I hear about it the more I think it's going to be toilet. The AT-AT is on rails ffs

For the Konami haters, just thought I'd share this post from someone one another forum I post on:

You can now buy 'base insurance' in MGS V @ Destructoid.com
Forward Operating Bases in Metal Gear Solid V are centers of operation you can set up around the world. These bases can be acquired using in-game premium currency, but it takes an awful lot of it to do anything. Realistically, many players wanting a new FOB will likely find themselves spending real money in micro-transactions.
Once you have your very own new FOB, other players online can attack your base, steal your staff, and basically take away all the things you just spent money being able to collect.
Fear not, as of today's newest update to MGS V, you can now buy FOB insurance. What does this insurance provide you? If your staff or materials are stolen while you have FOB insurance, the thief will still get those stolen goods, but you will have them instantly replaced by identical staff and materials.
Konami said:
The following are not covered by FOB insurance: Staff/items that are not fully your property, such as abducted staff being held in your Brig (FOB), Wounded staff (staff lost due to death or extraction will be compensated), Staff used by you to deploy in defense of the FOB (neither death nor extraction will be compensated), Nuclear weapons.
So, are you ready to spend real money to protect the stuff you spent real money on? If so, FOB insurance might be right up your alley.
