I agree wholeheartedly. He improved against WBA over his first start. I couldn't believe his jumping ability on headers, he just flew. That speaks for the potential for more offense from the back line in years to come.Solid if unspectacular. Still plenty to learn but he's got time on his side. He'll be a good centre half in a few years.
No, we absolutely shouldn't be happy about it. I'm not going to hold the performance against Browning or write him off for the future because of it, but it really wasn't a good performance. Yes, there are extenuating circumstances, and it certainly wasn't a disaster, but it really hurt our overall performance today not having a proper right back in the lineup.
