Tim Howard

I think there's a case for saying almost any in-swinging corner that reaches the back post, then the goalkeeper assuming clear passage, should be favourite for the ball. There was no-one impeding Howard if he had chosen to go for the ball rather than stay on his line. Having said that, the fault lay with the failure of man marking (Barkley/Jags).

I'm probably brave for taking on a higher power here but I do disagree mate.

If it was a normal cross I'd agree, but in a corner goalkeeper has to release himself from the player stuck on him (which Browning is marking on the still above), Brunts delivery is very wide with lots of in swing and the cross itself has a lot of pace on it.

I can't see how a cross that's looped back should be a straightforward catch in such conditions?

I really can't believe that Howard's thread is getting so much traffic on a night he didn't do anything wrong and we came back from 2 goals down to win at a very difficult away ground.

It really does show when the likes of Osman is out the team and Lukaku and Kone score we need a whipping boy on here..

Oh no, Lukaku scored and he's still getting pasted.

Everton that.

I've not dared venture in that thread for fear of a banning...

A player who scores 2 goals and sets up the 3rd is not doubt being slated by the usual naysayers because we were crap in the first half and it was all his fault (plus Barry's @Saint Domingo ) I'm sure..
Doug it was hard for our defence tonight I.e. A new set up - TH looked shaky because of it , and you are spot on the through ball Barry did for WBA just before half Tim was sublime pity our midfield can't do it in the opposition end!
At the end of the day or night the result was everything - at 2-0 down I would have been happy with a draw - A win totally elated - over the moon a depleted squad , and We won - played better at Swansea only got a point!
