SSN reports Athletico has flat out denied receiving any bids for Heitinga or that Heitinga is going anywhere.

As usual, grasping at straws with the rumors. The more one takes a look at Heitinga, the more one realizes that this would never happen - he just signed for Athletico last year for 10 million - Everton aren't going to pay that kind of scratch and he's only been there a year. Add Athletico's upcoming CL campaign, would be foolish for them to send him off even though Athletico are carrying nine defenders on their first team roster.

If we could get this lad hes ideal. He plays RB, CB and DM. Would be superb. Cant say ive ever seen him play tho. But he sounds great!

Im sure Moyes is aware of that huge hole in the CM postion. For me the squad is still thin, but I will have another look on Wednesday and if need be make a furious and totally knee jerk thread.

But hopefully I will have only love.

IF we signed that CM then its been a productive transfer window where weve addressed the team (and not just the squads) weak points.

Maybe not bad use at all of the Lescott money.
