The Clev - 5/10
Gerard Deulofeu - 8/10
Aaron Lennon - 5/10
Ramiro Funes Mori - 1/10
Leandro Rodriguez - 1/10
Mason Holgate - 2/10

Averages out to a 4/10 window. Nice one on getting that creative player Martinez. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

You've never seen 3 of them play, and Cleverley gets a 7 just for his missus. Aaron gets at least a 7 for his new found smile.

They performed well better when he played tbh mate, prob would have stayed up with him bizzarely

He was their best defender according to some of their fans.

Which is why they went down. Didn't have enough good players

Makes the FA cup win even more impressive

Cleverley was an excellent piece of business.
Deulofeu; based on one performance against Barnsley, looks more mature in his decision making. If that rings true over a greater sample size and against better opposition then the fee is a bargain for a player of undoubted talent but a lot to prove in terms of end product.
Lennon offers directness and a different approach to our other nominal wide players. He wants to play for us and that can only be a good thing.

The other signings are a complete lottery and if you are rating them out of 10 based on absolutely nothing you need to take a long hard look at yourself.

Standing firm on Stones and sticking to our guns in the face of the state of modern 'football' and signing McCarthy and the mercurial, and allegedly 'wantaway' Mirallas to new deals is wonderful news for the club. Proves the plan is in place and that despite 90% of you all wishing for us to AAAAAARGH SIGN EVERYONE NOW BOBBY and some foreign bloke with a iffy character record has signed for Stoke AND THEY'VE GOT MORE MONEY THAN US - SORT IT OUT KENWRIGHTOUT, it has been a good summer for the club. Can't argue with that - though some of you will as there are agendas to meet and all.
Excellent post. Bang on the money.

I'm stumped as to how anyone can feel confident in assessing the success or failure of the transfer window just a couple of days after it closes: at this stage the only players we know anything about are Cleverley, Deulofeu and Lennon. Funds Mori, Rodriguez and Holgate have not played for us yet, and I would give each of them forty appearances before I felt comfortable in forming a strong opinion on any of them.

But I wanted Yarmolenko and we didn't get him, so 1/10 from me *rolls eyes*

Holgate has already played for the U21s, so 1/10 for your post.

Pretty meh window for me. Cleverly looks to be a nice addition to midfield. Deulofeu and Lennon at 4.5 million each are great business. However, all of these additions play out wide and the real needs for investment for me were in the center of the pitch. If Everton have ambition to play at the next level, then a creative attacking midfielder must be the first priority, closely followed by another 10-15 goal striker and competition, if not a replacement, for Howard. None of these obvious personnel gaps were addressed in a window where we ought to have spent a bit more.

Also, the scouts must really see something in Mori if we've paid 9.5 for him. Here's hoping he's worth every bit of that fee.

Rubbish.

transfer rumour threads gone i think?

just seen in the Echo then [yes i know its the echo]

the Blues boss is rumoured to be interested in 29-year-old free agent Yoann Gourcuff, who has left Lyon after an injury-plagued spell.

as much as it probably won't happen, would be a half decent deal for the rest of the season if the guy's fit right now.

Obviously if he isn't fit as of now then not worth the time.
