John Stones transfer saga

Oh really? I don't sympathise with a money hungry footballer that hands in a transfer request 1 week before the window closes, after being tapped behind my club's back and probably chatting with the Chelsea Manager all along, and that makes me a Kopite?

Cmon mate, don't be ridiculous.

Didn't call you a kopite, so settle down, you just don't feel as passionately about Everton as John Stones, that's no bother, some people get it more than others who are here because of Tim Cahill.

Nah, he made a big boy business play and it is yet to be seen if it will turn out remotely how he was hoping. No need for pity and in fact it makes me sad that tears would be his reaction. It isn't over for him and in fact no matter what happens going forward he will likely have a life we all dream of with money, fame and glory
Just because he is rich doesn't mean he doesn't have feelings mate. The pressure on him is immense and has been for several weeks.

hmmmmmm.....pressure, eh?

Deciding whether to leave a job paying thirty grand a week to go to one paying triple that.

He'd know what pressure was if he was facing redundancy and wondering how he was going to keep a roof over his family's head.
He just has his every move at work watched by 40,000 very fickle people and analysed in the national press afterwards.

Whilst I'd rather be in Stones' shoes than those of a redundant persons, they are two unrelated and incomparable scenarios.

lol...cry me a river....

I normally agree with a lot of what you both post lads and I must admit to feeling similarly before this evening but come on - if this story is true then a young talented Everton footballer is upset enough about this whole debacle to actually cry in front of the fans (the same footballer that we have all previously lauded as being impressively grounded for his age) and you feel absolutely no empathy towards him at all?

If he does stay then he will be getting my full support and if he leaves then I think I might just go curl up and cry myself but I no longer think that I'm going to hate the lad.

We're Evertonians and for the time being so is he.

Feel for the lad, so much pressure on him, has either had terrible advice or a nudge from the board. Bobbys having none of it
