John Stones transfer saga

To be fair, we cannot be sure what has happened with the board and the player, but it is easy to assume that it is Stones fault.

I'm 21 and I cannot imagine what it is like to have so much pressure on my shoulders.

I think the club should stand firm but three years ago he was to old to vote, now he had his career and multiple millions of pounds on his shoulders.

He didn't ask for football to be like this. It is and he has to make the best life he can for himself and his family out of it.

Christ I hate it when people wheel out 'well they've got a great life so you can't feel sympathy for them about anything'.

Weird humans that feel that way.

He's a young sound lad who's had to make very hard decisions while the entire national press and all his peers spend weeks talking about him, who has just put in a performance below his standards at his boyhood club in the most intensive week of the whole saga. Tough times for anyone, so give over.
Mostly you are right, but he doesn't need my sympathies (or yours) to make it all OK. The proper perspective is that all is still very well. He's still at the greatest club he could be at and the door is not permanently closed to other clubs he may one day aspire to move to. I mean he wants to leave, he's not innocent in all this.

Yeah, convinced more and more by the day you don't get Everton.
Oh really? I don't sympathise with a money hungry footballer that hands in a transfer request 1 week before the window closes, after being tapped behind my club's back and probably chatting with the Chelsea Manager all along, and that makes me a Kopite?

Cmon mate, don't be ridiculous.
