Someone can correct me but the list of most expensive defenders now looks like this...

Rio Ferdinand - £30million
Joleon Lescott - £24million
Dani Alves - £23.5million
Lilian Thuram - £22million
Glen Johnson - £19miilion

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Lets go spend it on Dani Alves, post haste. Buy some chips for everyone at Goodison in the next home game with the change.

If we cannot spend this money before the window closes, then something is seriously, seriously, seriously wrong at the club.

People laughing at City for buying our first choice centre back and leaving us with Joseph Yobo and an injured Phil Jagielka with 9 days to go in the transfer window.

It is good money for him, there's no doubt about it but the situation we are in is ****ed up with a captial F. I really hope Moyes has some players lined up, I really do.

I have to say I hoped Moyes would keep him and that's always been my stance on the matter.

I still hope the FA intervene and punish City for their actions, but no doubt that will have been settled in the deal. I hope they choke on him and drown in their own arrogance.

To all the Mooners, especially Stony and Blueinsa (y)

Yes, its [Poor language removed] position to be in and we've probably gone arse over tit about it but still....you've got to admit £24million is a ridiculous amount of money.

Hopefully the Arabs will write the cheque "To Mr David W Moyes" and not "Everton FC" so he can spend it all.

Im putting faith in the board to give the funds to Moyes after todays performance though. If not, something's wrong.

But he wasn't playing for us anyway. We're in the same situation as we were but with £24m in the bank. Happy days.
