John Stones transfer saga

That for me is the right course. But I think if he did fulfill more of his potential then we could look for more than 50 Mll.
Possibly - Luiz I think went for £50 Million but he was captain of Brazil at the time. Maybe his value could rise beyond £50 Million due to the ensuing bidding war that could break out.

I do not understand how the likes of the written media and talksport can't get it into their heads that the Lads value is only going one way and that's up, this window he could be 40+ that means to me next he could be 50+ especially with the new TV deal mean purchasers have more cash and potential selling club has less need for it.

Andy Gray just said he would be 'Amazed' if stones were still an Everton player once the window closed

Firstly we don't know how long these negotiations were taking place for, and secondly neither player was actively being pursued by one of the wealthiest clubs in the world.

Very poor....

What we do know is that 2 players who were the subject of transfer speculation and not wanted to be sold by the manager were given new contracts in this transfer window.

That makes it even more imperative that John Stones gets a new contract done in this window whom is seen as our most prized asset and as Bobby says is not being sold.....so again why is it not being done unless......

Here's a question:

If Stones is absolutely not for sale and doesn't want to leave, why have Chelsea bothered coming back with a third bid?

Here's a question:

Because no player on earth is absolutely not for sale.

They're fully entitled to bid for players they want - just as we're fully entitled to tell them to sod off if they don't value the player to the amount we do.

His stock will be no higher than it is now IMO.

Everybody knows they will not get him on the cheap. We have a desperate buyer, thus meaning the big bucks could be there now should
So is this £30m bid just media speculation, again?
SSN saying Chelsea have been back with 3rd bid of £30m,which has been rejected, no news from either club on this.

Spot on and is reflected on this site by all those posting every day in the Transfer Thread.

Years ago I was in awe of blokes who could tell you all about players you had never heard of playing in foreign countries.

I thought "blimey, these fellows sure do follow the game with a pashun".

Then I started watching some of my young nephews playing FIFA and they could rhyme off the same names and stats......and realised these guys know no more than I do about the players they post about....they just know them from playing computer games

It is like world championship Scrabble players.

How erudite must these boys be, knowing all those obscure words?

Then I watched a TV documentary about them.

They hardly knew the meaning of any of the words.....they scour the dictionary for words which give the most points and memorise them without looking at the definition.

They couldn't introduce most of those words into a sentence happen their lives depended on it :(

Another myth shattered.
