John Stones transfer saga

His stock will be no higher than it is now IMO.

Everybody knows they will not get him on the cheap. We have a desperate buyer, thus meaning the big bucks could be there now should the club wish to cash in, which I don't believe they do right now.
Next year new tv deal, coming off the euros, probably 2 or 3 more teams interested, another full season under his belt His price will only go up

Not for sure at all.

First he could suffer an injury or a loss of form and second there is no guarantee at all that he will be in the squad at all indeed RH won't take more than 4 CD in his 20 odd man squad and at this time I suspect he in 5 in the pecking order

Aye, and we could get relegated which would cut his price.
All i mean is that if he continues on his current trajectory he will be worth more... his value won't just plateau this year because he's a defender.

I genuinely don't think that there is a club outside of Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal & United who would not sell him should a bid of £40m be tabled.
True and if we get a bid that high then Bill will drive him there himself.

The good thing is this saga and Chelsea's problems mean we will get more if he does eventually go.

BREAKING NEWS: TOFFEES REJECT NEW STONES BID

Sky Sports understand that Chelsea have made a third bid for Everton's central defender John Stones - and that the offer, this time of £30m, has been rejected by the Toffees.

Throughout the saga Everton have remained tight-lipped, only to say that Stones was not for sale at any price.

Turned down 30m bid according to Sky

I honestly have no clue what Chelsea are playing at with this transfer at this stage.

I mean I sort of get the £20m bid, as they just wanted the player to kick off and test the waters to get him as cheap as possible.

All they have done since is disrespect the club by treating us like a feeder club.

It's obvious to everyone what a serious bid would be - £30m isn't a serious bid. So why bother? It just annoys the fans and surely the club further?

City press conference will be interesting anyway.

I have decided to stop reading what idiots write, it is going to bring me inner peace.

If you have a spot in a newspaper to fill, or or a blog to bore everybody with, or even a twitter account to bore the world with your inane and self satisfying ramblings, you are going to write something to get a reaction or just to fill space, that's all these divs are doing.
You've gone very zen since your time in the clink.

Just trying to unsettle him, doesn't seem like the sort of player, but we've said that in the past about others. Remain pretty hopeful though
