John Stones transfer saga

Right. And he has form for not selling a player he doesn't want to, despite media pressure. See Baines, summer 2013.
This is what gives me hope. He stood firm under intense pressure from moyes and the press over baines, who like stones didn't seek to force the move by handing in a transfer request. Let's hope history repeats itself with stones.

Those that post on theChelsea websites post an opinion it is just based on what they read and what they think as opposed to what they know. It's no different to those that post on here
As for tapping up complaints it's an area where clubs are very reluctant to go near making a complaint for transfers,as I have said before, are a real messy area and at any time I suspect just about all clubs are breaking the rules

Will he go? Have no idea but I for one would not bet one penny against it happening

For sure, more than he is now after playing the European Champtionships.

Not for sure at all.

First he could suffer an injury or a loss of form and second there is no guarantee at all that he will be in the squad at all indeed RH won't take more than 4 CD in his 20 odd man squad and at this time I suspect he in 5 in the pecking order

Serious question, how much will Stones be worth in twelve months ?

His stock will be no higher than it is now IMO.

Everybody knows they will not get him on the cheap. We have a desperate buyer, thus meaning the big bucks could be there now should the club wish to cash in, which I don't believe they do right now.

Good season in the league followed by a decent Euros and he's in world record fee territory comfortably as far as I'm concerned.

It's not the buyer that is important here - it's the seller. His importance to us will only go up, and therefore his value will too.

The only negating factor is contract length, but with Stones it's not an issue for another two years.

I genuinely don't think that there is a club outside of Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal & United who would not sell him should a bid of £40m be tabled.

I hope he's not sold at any price. Sick joke if he's sold this late in the window. Martinez said he's not for sale, that should be the end of it. Its undermining his project of being stronger after every window and keeping the best youth players to challenge at the top end. That's the man's aim, far more than Moyes '40 points and go from there' and the boards stay in the league and scrape by. In a growing business you don't sell off your best assets and fail to replace them. If the board decide to sell now and go over Martinez I'm done with football and so should a lot of evertonians.
