John Stones transfer saga

It fits the narrative just now though, doesn't it?

The Champions are in crisis, Terry is subbed, perhaps finished.

Where's the replacement? At Everton.

As soon as Cahil came out with the 'join me down South', you can assume that he had been talking to Stones whilst on England duty, and Stones has said that he doesn't want to move to London. I don't think Stones wants to go anywhere and the 'sources tell me Stones wants to go to Chelsea' is made up speculation to sell themselves as being ITK.

Personally i wouldn't sell, but if Chelsea are desperate then drive up the cost as much as humanly possible. If the [Poor language removed] could get 49 million £ for a player who wanted to leave with two years left on his contract, for a player position where they weren't desperate for a new signing.

Give us 100 million £ or f' off.

If we don't sell him this window we will be in a very strong position in future windows having already rejected £30m+.

Need to keep hold of him no matter what for at least this season.

Not for beecroft unfortunately. Extremely well connected to both clubs on merseyside. He hinted weeks ago that Everton were looking to sell because they hadn't said he wasn't for sale
I listen to talkSport everyday, I've heard Beecroft a lot and not ONCE has he talked about us, it's always RS, he a RS fan he knows nothing about us.
Didn't Stones say he wants to stay 2 weeks ago?
Martinez has said he's not for sale at least 3 times, he's also accused Chelsea of tapping up Stones (Terry/Cahill) he won't go to Chelsea.

Surprised the article on [Publication is blacklisted due to spam]. Sport hasn't caused a reaction on her, RE- Karen Brady giving advise on John Stones.

If i was Everton i'd firstly go to the FA and put a complaint in. The tactics used by Chelsea have been disgusting. Why do we let clubs walk all over us?

Then i'd come out to the media and explain, John Stones is not for sale, he's worth too much to sell. It's near enough impossible to replace him with another young, talented, future leader at this stage, and why would we bother selling him just to try and buy another one of him.

If Chelsea want him that badly, we need £70m. So either put up the £70m or shut up and get on with trying to win a game.

I reckon as soon as anyone comes in with a bid around the £40 million mark, things will start moving, really hope i'm wrong though!!

Chelsea haven't walked over us, they keep butting their head against our front door shouting hello through the letter box maybe. But we're clearly in the box seat here and have been since they started this public campaign to turn Stone's head and he never bite.

Martinez told them publicly he's not for sale last week, I'm sure we've done it privately in the past as well. They can keep trying but they're clearly getting nowhere and are now looking desperate given their early season form. Don't forget they also have to work within the confines of the transfer window and they'll have to move onto someone else soon before its to late for them also.

This guy in the Metro reckons Chelsea will sign Stones because Abromovich loves him.

Well, I'm not sure a kid doing work experience at the Metro would have the contacts or to do dealing with the ultra secretive Roman.
