John Stones transfer saga

The problem you've got is if the player is insistent on going. Doesn't matter what you say to the press, all the power is with the players and the agents now.

We will have to wait and see. Massive shame if he goes and bad for Everton.

That's true, but he hasn't handed in a transfer request yet, despite all that has been said. And it remains to be seen if he will at all. Especially at this late stage. Baines never handed in a transfer request, which is why he never went to Utd.

Maybe so, but his agent will be jumping through hoops to try and get his 10% of this one.

I think Stones would stay, but between our crap board and his agent we may have to accept what might be coming.

Again if his agent was trying to force any of this there'd be a lot of noise coming from his camp. There's been nothing at all to suggest Stones would like the move or is unhappy at Everton.

Nothing's changed since the first bid was made public weeks ago, the club and Stones haven't blinked.

I think the accepted fee for evertonians would be around £45 million, so knock 15-20% off that and that's probably chelsea's valuation and how much we could realistically hope to get unless the mother of all bidding wars starts between chelsea and both manc clubs.

He's on 30k, give him a new contract on 60k and put a 50m buy out clause in.

You know he could get 120k a week off Man U or Chelski, that would turn any of our heads.

Stones will leave Everton one day, so lets try and keep him here for a year or two and ensure when he does go, it's for the buyout clause.

That is how this club should go about things on this one.

My opinion is he will stay, not for long but will stay

If he continues to progress the way he is, my gut feel is the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd will fall by the wayside.

I say this as for me Stones is/will be good enough to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona

1 more year to cement his potential, and he goes to a club that he will play centre stage for many a year

I hope his agent is sensible and advising him well
They won't pay 50 mill though but I agree he's going to be good enough to interest RM & Barca
