Moyes says there has been a little bit of contact from city. Little bit or not its still contact. He's going. Sooner the better.

Moyes needs to cut his losses and let him go. The fans sang his name and he didn't acknowledge that fact, it's not the fans fault. He's just a spoilt brat who needs to leave right now.

Will he improve as a player? I don't think he will.

One thing we also need to understand is this, all clubs lose high profile players sooner or later. It's just the way it goes.

Imagine Milan losing Kaka? Or United losing a 40 goal a season man?

It happens.

Well said lad. (y)

Needs to go.

I was behind Moyes when he came out and stood his ground but after being dropped for his "attitude" I'm afriad he's got to go.

Cash in. Get cover. We'll be fine. Need to do it quick.

Knowing our luck Citeh will bid last minute and we'll say yes, Kenwright will keep the dough.

Listened to TS on the way home and this Evertonian called in and said that on Friday or maybe it was Monday, anyway, he said Lescott and Baines were standing near each other and Moyes went over to give them some instructions as he does to all his players that are playing and apparently Lescott turned his back on Moyes and Baines had a face of complete disbelief.

Said in the other thread, I refused to get worked up over Lescott.
Not working, I notice.:@

There's no way back for the lad! He's handed a transfer request, wants to leave, and now flat out mugged off Moyes.

What does Moyes need to realise he's got expensive deadwood in his squad.

Just pick up the phone, talk to Citeh, say £18mill and Richard Dunne for cover over the next few games then spend the cash.

I can see us struggling tomorrow and on Sunday with only 1 fit centre half.

Moyes is close to bringing in a "front-line’’ centre-half, and has been linked with Steven Taylor, Ryan Shawcross and Michael Turner. "I will have another centre-half soon, at least one, and Joleon will have a decision to make. Until his attitude changes he won't be included.’’ Either Phil Neville or Jack Rodwell will partner Joseph Yobo at centre-back against Sigma.

Everton are believed to be close to sealing a £9 million move for Vladimir Bystrov, the Russian international winger currently with Spartak Moscow. The Goodison Park club are also hopeful of securing a work permit for Ever Banega, Valencia's Argentine holding midfielder.

Joleon Lescott dropped by Everton - Telegraph

This is the same paper that reported City were unveiling Lescott on their open day on the 6th August so wouldn't believe too much they write

Manchester City to 'unveil Joleon Lescott today' - Telegraph

Moyes Still Wants Lescott To Stay

Everton manager David Moyes admits he is taking a gamble by dropping Joleon Lescott from his squad, but still does not want to sell the defender.

The England centre-back has been axed from the Toffees' squad for Thursday's Europa League clash with Sigma Olomouc at Goodison Park due to attitude problems.

Lescott is a target of Manchester City, who have already had two bids rejected, and the former Wolves player has had a transfer request turned down by Everton.

Moyes believes the 27-year-old's attitude has been affected by the saga and will therefore play either midfielders Phil Neville or Jack Rodwell alongside Joseph Yobo in the centre of defence against Sigma.

The Scot confesses he is taking a risk ahead of play-off first leg, saying: "Yes, this is a gamble. And it will be one of those two, Neville or Rodwell, who will play in defence."

Deadline

But Moyes insists he still does not want to let Lescott, who played in Saturday's 6-1 mauling by Arsenal, leave Goodison Park.
He said: "I hope this will all be sorted out, after the deadline.
"People can read what they like into this. But I have said all along I don't want to sell him.

"But it is a bit like Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United, there is always a price.

"At this moment no club has made us an offer for the player that we want to accept."

This is a long shot, but is it possible that Moyes has dropped Lescott so that he isn't cup tied?

City aren't in Europe, but other clubs certainly are.
How does the Europa affect the Champs league?

Just a theory :)
