Serious question fellow Blues ........ if Blue Bill doesn't have any money to give to Bobby to strengthen the team ( which we all agree is much needed ) and the only way of doing so is by selling John boy ( with Bobby getting all the proceeds ) would you sell or keep ?
Serious question , why do we keep talking about selling Stones. ? And I would like to add FFS.

I was amused by the Daily Express' (yes) headline, 'Stones shock £30m Man Utd move not happening', especially considering Utd haven't even made a bid for him.

Some of the tabloids are now beyond parody, such is their desperation for clicks & making stuff up.
How come the RS in their 'wider ness' years of not playing in the champions league, didn't have to put up with suaraz, Countinho and Gerrard should be sold as liverpool are holding back their careers not allowing them to join champions league clubs. Double standards. The pressure placed on stones by certain elements of the media has been nothing short of disgraceful, if a player is not for sale why can't they just accept that stance of everton?

At this stage, I would keep Stones.

There is no time to fetch in suitable replacements and even less to bed them in as we are about to embark on a nine game run which could quite conceivably see us down the relegation end of the table when it finishes and in all likliehood looking for a new manager and the team in disarray.

I can see absolutely no upside to selling John Stones right now.

Best headline has to be this one. Forgot for a minute which club actually owned the player. From the daily express:
Everton boss Roberto Martinez admits John Stones' shock £30m move to Man Utd not happening.

I think it's a case of taking 'clickbait' to its ultimate conclusion - the headline is cut off in most twitter links/links on the website when it is hyperlinked, so that all you can see is "Everton Boss Roberto Martinez admits-"... *drum-roll*

Which I think more or less proves that they are after Evertonian's fume-fueled clicks as well as those from Chelsea brats. Quite clever/depressing of them, really.

Funds for a new manager? Seriously though you are right if stones is sold, our next few games are going to be difficult enough as 1 of our main defenders (baines) is already out for 3 months, losing stones would mean half our first choice defence has gone. We could certainly be in a relegation fight and Martinez closer to the sack. Stones must not be sold.

If we sell then we will need to strengthen the team even more as we will have lost one of our best players.

I don't see the point in selling a very good player to sign a few 'possibly' good players...why are clubs interested in him in the first place? Because there are no better players anywhere else

Picking back up on the media point before, and that detestable bellend Murdoch, just seen this.

Where's the accountability in once a prized national media?
thats just sickening. a mate who was heavily involved with Justics campaign said they got less joy out of the Labour Party under Blair than the Tories. Hope they distance themselves from him and anyone who goes on about him winning elections needs to remember how much Murdoch played a part in that.
Positive side while we are on andy burnham was that she said the campaign really did partly turn round when that one fan shouted at burnham. so, making a difference and all that. she also said Joey Barton was totally sound and one of the few people in the game who genuinely cared. thought i'd throw that in the mix.. don't know why

I really don't mind Barton at all, I know that's not a popular stance like.
