I'm watching the Bein Sports coverage of West Brom v City, and Keys and Gray have just said during half-time that The Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea have now bud 30 million for Stones tonight.

Anyone else heard/read this?

I'm currently serving overseas and it's the main local sports channels.

However, in the UK you can get it via the Live Media Player app on iPhone/iPad. Install the app, then do a search for Bein.

I appreciate what you are saying, your analysis is correct except it ignores the likely operating profits in 2014/15, the cash position at 31 May 2014 and the increased ability of the club to borrow on the back of increased revenues (only necessary because there's no capital investment from shareholders/new investors but nevertheless a source of capital)

Or on the flip you ignore the warning in the 2013/14 accounts re the ability to borrow even at the same level, the fact that revenues in certain income streams will at best remain constant and in others reduced.Or the fact that wages will be growing over and above the allowable growth figures and cash will have flowed out due to the huge investment made in the 2013/14 close season

Sorry but had there been a war chest as some like to suggest players would already have been signed

It would not be 30 mill upfront, more like 10 now the rest over two years. Should still be rejected though and Chlesea told to sling their hook.

I will still watch Everton mate. Not watching any other match that doesn't involves us. I was genuinely gutted on Saturday thinking this circus has come back too soon. Not seen anything from the weekend, bar Everton, and feel no need to now.

I am pretty much like that as well.

Only watch EFC.

I do however take a perverse perverse pleasure in watching LFC games, passionately supporting the opposition and switching off the minute the RS take the lead.

Yesterday was cruel.....:(

In all fairness, I fire from the hip, read no facts and live in the blissful peace of my own ignorance.

What you are doing is speaking logically. For shame. But for the things you are discussing, you're talking about borrowing against speculative earnings which may come short, leaving debts that must be serviced from other fund sources.

And Hibbo attends the Bildenberg Conference under an assumed name.

if you didnt know he played for us doubt you would know after watching the programme for years. always a player who put cash above all else.
He came across as not actually being that passionate about footy. Just seemed to be doing a job. He commented on that a few times saying he was passionate about winning but just did not show it quite so much as others. He enjoyed his time with us but that was all in a galaxy far far away!!

I hope someone is pointing out to Stones that a lot of already very good players once on Chelseas books have had to leave to get game time and advance their careers.
Sturrridge, Schurrer, DeBruyne, Lukaku -

35m and he should rightfully be sold for the good of the first team and plugging in more gaps. Right now we can probably afford one more player, or have around 10m max to spend. That doesn't get us much and won't see us challenging for anything this season imo.

If Stones goes, and we can get McGeady and a few others off the wage bill, we have the best part of 40m to spend and that'd get us three or four players who can instantly make a difference to the first XI. So no more Naismith, McGeady, Osman, Hibbert.

For me, Chelsea bidding 35m and me saying he should be sold for that amount is the same as if somebody would bid 25m for McCarthy or 40m for Barkley or 20m for Baines... it's too much to turn down and by selling we could make huge improvements to the first team and be in a position to challenge for honours.
