Screw Chelsea and their money! We should hold out. Or at least buy a couple of players first as we then risk being held to ransom over new signings because of big money coming in.

We will see......Que??? Only way Everton are buying a couple of players is if Stones is sold. Anyone selling to Everton has already reached this conclusion.

Yeah. Everton did not quite touch him to be honest. Usually says we were without doubt the best team he played for but his time at Spurs touched him much more personally. He gets us a bit but more second hand than most of our ex players. Most pros go along with the idea of players moving on as quickly as they fancy it so for him to go along with the media favourites sweeping up young talent when they fancy it is no big deal for him.hard to get across just from what he said how out of order it felt. the tone felt really weird. never liked him though so hard to know when its an over reaction
He apparently had a good season last year but they have paid quite a lot for a 21year old defender untested in the leagueAnyone else absolutely crap their pants when they got the Sky Sports News alert saying 'Chelsea have agreed a fee..' (defender from Germany)
Or was that just me?
if you didnt know he played for us doubt you would know after watching the programme for years. always a player who put cash above all else.Yeah. Everton did not quite touch him to be honest. Can you perform a cull of some sorts? This is just not true, I do not inderstand why people perpetuate this myth.
You, like all of us will be back. We can't live without footy and they know it!

I don't think its a myth. Club finances are all before us. Lukaku and McCarthy were bought because Everton had jingle to splash after selling Fellaini, Anichebe and Jelavic.
Since then, McCarthy has a new contract with certainly a hefty raise, Mirallas has a new contract with probably a nominal raise, Stones will be getting a bumper raise in the near future, Garbutt just signed a 5 year deal, D-Foo is in, Cleverley is on the books and the opposing delta is nominal - getting Alcaraz and Distin off the books, Garbutt off the books for a year (if not a little something extra, you know, for the effort), getting Lennon off the books. More and more cash being thrown at the wage bill has to leave less and less for the transfer kitty unless it's getting replenished from somewhere. In a static situation, Everton do not have the luxury of buying 10 - 15M rated players every window.
