Great list... except for Chris Rock lol..
Anyway
*CONTROVERSY ALERT *
I watch a lot of stand up shows on The TV introducing the next young bright comedy light , that's great but... I have a problem. There are a few comedias on the circuit now who are of ethnic minority... now his doesn't bother me at all.. I don't care what your colour/religion/species is if you're funny.... but more and more of these comedians are basing their comedy around race.... why ? why can you not just be funny instead of getting three jokes into your routine before revealing that you're a muslim/hindu/fat American and making obvious jokes about it.... does my head in... it's not remotely funny tbh. If I were to make jokes about somebodies religion or heritage I would be classed as racist.... so why is it ok when the shoe is on the other foot so to speak. It's a cheap way to try and get laughs.
Sorry, rant over.
Yep, and it just shows that they're actually poor comedians with no idea how to formulate a good stand-up routine. The worst one is surely Omid Djalili, the man is an utter sham, nothing he ever says is funny, and he just adopts the same ranty-shouty delivery that Alexei Sayle used (who wasn't remotely funny either).
Conversely, Romesh Ranganathan (think that's right) is really funny, because he doesn't rely on his race or background.
