Oh Martinez, what blackmail does Kone have on you to be starting this second half? We'll forgive you, whether its trannys or whatever, just get him off the bleeding pitch.

kone though ??? he looks like a brain dead zombie from the crowd who has never seen football before has been asked to make up our 11.
no pace , no movement , no strength, no desire , cant shoot for toffee
terrible terrible player , i wouldnt even say he is championship standard. he should retire.
worrying he is in our team , worrying we havent another better option , worrying martinez rates him even in the slightest.

Is there anyone who doesn't think we would have been better keeping Victor and not bothering with Kone?

The former went for the same price as the former came from Wigan.

But Victor was way better for us than Kone has ever been.....or ever will be.

Have to agree. We've just seen a very uninspiring Everton forward line come up with very little inspiration. What are we going to do two months into the season when Lukaku gets injured and Miralles loses form ? Please bring in attackers with more skill than Kone and more guile than Naismith.
Don't worry we have Mcgeady
As Roberto said last week
He's a fantastic footballer
Happy days

Barkley on for Naismith and is lining up centre forward, sorry false 9, so keeping the same 4-3-3 by the looks of it

First half. Decent exercise, a far better quality preseason game than we played at any time last season.
Solid enough performance and the HT score is about right.
I don't see how anybody can blame Joel for the goal, he had to come out for the ball, the central defenders were out of position and Walcott is
rapid.
I think our central midfield of Barry, Mc Carthy and Cleverley are too similar and offer nothing clever going forward.

We badly need a creative attacking midfielder.

We just need more creativity in midfield in general. McCarthy, Barry and Cleverly could probably pass the ball safely all day long but it's so rare they show some incisive play.
Exactly...the problems don't just lie in us not having a quality playmaker. Lukaku needs to to be told to stop coming short and we need to move the ball quicker with better movement when we're attacking
