I'll pay the train fare to send mcgeady to sunderland.

It's a shame because he's got natural talent and is a great crosser..but injured 50% of the time and gash for 45% of the time.

No and no.

Where has all this "he's got magic in his feet" talk come from? He's only ever looked good in Scotland and Russia which are bin-men leagues. He's been here 18 months now and still not proven himself to be anything other than a bang-average at best winger. And players who are bang-average shouldn't be playing for us, we should be aiming higher.

1 in 20 player.

Simply not good enough.

When competing in a top-level league he's been exposed as bang-average. We have enough mediocre players on our wage bill thanks, any chance we can sell some of them for money then we should take it.

Nothing personal against McGeady, we took a gamble on him and just hasn't worked out. Not good enough for the level we want to compete at.

I honestly dont understand how scouts from other clubs can watch him play and consider him worthy of signing, baffles me it does.

As I said, he's the type of player who can look really good when he's playing against dog poo opposition, the type of which you get in SPL or the Russian league. Come to the Premier League though where the vast majority of defensive players are at least half-decent and he's suddenly been exposed. He's not ripping past full-backs or terrorising back-lines anymore, now he's struggling to even get balls into the box most of the time.

He could possibly do okay for a side like Sunderland or Leicester etc, teams down the bottom who just want to survive relegation every season. Put him in a team that wants to be in Europe though and we see the huge gulf in class between the likes of him and Mirallas.

He is a one trick pony who is not good enough for the premier league.

Loads on here where going on about it being a good signing etc when we got him though mate too, despite the fact that myself and a few others who had the errrrm 'pleasure' to have watched him a lot in the russian league said he was gonna be a huge waste

Then again I'm still in mourning about not getting Tadic...

I was willing to give him a chance , but on the basis of the last season and on reflection , I don't think he is anywhere consistent or good enough.

Shame , really

We should never have taken him even on a free.
Not good enough for the premier league
