It would be a good fit for both. Celtic would get a player capable of doing well in the Scotish Premier League and Aidan McGeady would return to a place where he was well thought of. I hope it happens.

How hard is it to grasp.
Twitter is tosh.

I can't see Coleman going for the reported prices, we'd be looking upwards of 25 million for him.
He's going nowhere mate. I forbid it. The Scum and Trinity Mirror where just bored over the weekend and decided to create a story cause nothing is happening. Il burn Donegal if he joins that shower

Right, I'm allowed back in to play once again. Guardian I class as slightly credible. Reckon we are after the Leeds right back. Could mean the Coleman to United might have legs.

Everton express interest in Leeds United right-back Sam Byram
• Newcastle and Sunderland also keen on 21-year-old defender
• Byram broke into Leeds team three years ago

Everton are interested in the Leeds Unitedright-back Sam Byram despite planning to resist any approach that may materialise from Manchester United for Seamus Coleman.

Byram, 21, has attracted inquiries from several Premier League clubs since graduating into the senior team three seasons ago and Everton have joined Newcastle and Sunderland in expressing interest. David Moyes, the former Evertonmanager, was keen on bringing Byram to Goodison Park along with John Stones in January 2013 as he looked to inject youth into his squad but only a deal for the Barnsley-born defender ultimately went through.

Everton, however, have continued to monitor the progress of the attack-minded full back and Moyes’ successor, Roberto Martínez, is considering an offer for a player who has made 108 appearances in the Championship for Leeds. Byram recently responded to questions over his future by declaring his focus is on helping Uwe Rösler’s side win promotion to the Premier League next season.

Martínez’s interest in Byram will inevitably create doubt over Coleman’s future at Goodison amid reports that the Republic of Ireland international is a summer transfer target for Louis Van Gaal. Everton have not received an inquiry from Old Trafford as yet and have no desire to sell the Donegal-born defender, who signed a new five-year contract with the club only last summer.

Not sure the two are linked. Do we have a viable back up right back? Hibbert is past it and even though Browning played right back last season I'm pretty sure Martinez has him down as a centre back in the long term. In the younger teams Gethin Jones and Kenny are a bit further back

It is a bit of coincidence though, I can't see us splashing out a considerable amount of money for a back up right back.
