ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Never seen him play. Proper FIFA signing this.

He may well turn out to be good, but for that sort of money he'd bloody want to.

They were last season no doubt but the players being chased now fill many gaps we had last year. Only finished 6 points behind that lot without a striker of any use all season. Its not a mountain to climb

If we're honest pal you are not signing the players your linked with, links mean nothing. You'll spend the Sterling money whilst the players themselves more than likely won't go to yourselves anyway unless you pay them ridiculous money.

The price for Firminio, double what everyone else was offering, basically shows what extreme you have to go to take out the opposition for his signature.

As for the player himself, I inow nothing of him but signing that type of player who's never played here before is always a gamble. Not many Brazilians do well here IMO and although a few have done good, they've not lived up to what they're capable of as far as I'm concerned.

But yes, if you do sign the 4 world class players you've been linked with, almost half a team, then you should challenge for top 4.

State of this LFC statement, btw.

The Reds have seen off serious competition from rivals in the Barclays Premier League and across Europe to make it Anfield where the goalscoring instincts and creative flair of Firmino can continue to blossom.

Liverpool had been watching all along and acted fastest to put together a deal for Firmino, who will be exhibiting his mesmerising skills at Anfield from August.

Might be a good player but a lot of money to spunk on someone with such a poor goal record. They still need a striker, guess they are spending the Worrell Sterling money before they get it.

Face it! Its their year.

£29million is the top end for Firmino. I was expecting £18-20mil and hoping we would be in for him.

If Gomez was £3.5mil then thats a good buy.

Sadly, two good players there long term.
