Summer Transfer Window - Credible Rumours Only Please

What we need are players that can play in a top four team. Players that can play in a championship winning team.

Unlike Utd, Chelsea, City or Arsenal we cannot afford to buy the finished article, so , like every other team in the premiership we are chasing potential.

I have no knowledge of the potential of players like Defrel but I do know it is players of this type we need to sign.

Deulofeu - hopefully all but done and dusted *crosses fingers*
Dann - gone very quiet. The Star ( I know ) are still linking us though
Payet looks like he's bound for West Ham

Bamford - possible, but probably not that likely. Mentioned in the Mail and others
Defrel - linked from what appears to be a half way decent Italian source
Heaton - linked in the Independent

Elis - linked in the Mail a few weeks ago. Seems to have gone quiet
Klavan - linked last week in the Mail

Lennon - hopefully brought back after his loan
Dembele - linked in the Mail and Star
Deeney - Mirror, but if 20 million is needed this one's nonsense

I'm not convinced that Sergi Roberto is anything more than just idle speculation, but the Observer are running with it now, so who knows ?

i wouldn't have deeney on the list tbh. i think that's pure newspaper speculation i doubt we'd be in for him even if he was only £3m, plus why would watford sell their captain just after promotion?
