Surely that must be a loan fee?
Think it said permanent deal, one year left on his contract, would prob want a lot of wages though.
Surely that must be a loan fee?
Tom Hopper, Adam Smith and James Pearson would make good squad players....heard they are available on the cheap.....

The problem is he'll have a problem with being backup.
Always threw his dummy out the pram at the arse for not playing enough, then when he did play he complain he was on the wing and not up top.
Swerve that, another eto'o situation
*resists urge to make terrible "had your chips" pun

Play him behind Rom then.
I've always considered Podolski an athlete in football boots, running up and down in straight lines but he possesses a cracking shot and has the discipline to hold the left wing position, unlike Mirallas, and that positioning could only help Baines in establishing a new effective pivot.
Did you just suggest hes better than Mirallas?
We've been linked with one player in the past who i would love above all others and thats Hakim Ziyech

So a 30 year old podolski should start over Rom?Podolski is a good striker, always scores a fair few when playing regularly. Wenger seems to be obsessed though with having a physical presence upfront which is why the likes of Adebayor, Chamakh, Bendtner and now Giroud get the nod ahead of Podolski Walcott even Sanchez in that central position. Sadly Podolski could bag as many as he wanted up front, as soon as Lukaku is fit Martinez will play him regardless of form and Podolski would be farmed out onto the wing where he is not as effective. Of course the ideal solution is to play with two strikers but this seems even less likely. Don't know why people think Podolski isn't good though, he is.
From an attacking point of view, especially when chasing a game, it can make sense but surely the reason very few teams use in the league these days is because it leaves you very open defensively? City managed it well and Liverpool with Suarez managed to score more than they conceeded but there are few other examples iirc of it working recently.Podolski is a good striker, always scores a fair few when playing regularly.
