This would be a great signing, looks to be a young talent with an already impressive goal scoring record. We could put Kone down humanely then.

Saw Bamford play a couple of seasons for MK Dons away at Gillingham, while it was only League One, he scored two goals and looked the best player on the pitch by miles. Has carried on scoring at both Derby and M'Boro. About 6 ft 2, mobile, nice first touch but could do with putting on a half a stone in muscle. One with potential to improve, but by no means the finished article for the here and now.

That's not difficult though, because he's pretty much our only creative midfielder. Unless you include Barkley, in which case you are right, Gibson is our best creative midfielder.

Hope we avoid Bamford, footballing greats like Vydra, Cameron Jerome and Andy Carroll have scored bucket loads in the championship but being bang average at PL level. Watching him against Arsenal in the cup he was completely out of his depth.

And yet against Man City he was great. Not uncommon for young players to blow hot and cold, we've certainly seen it with
Rom and Ross.

.....there is an increasing theme with these centre forward links, all youngsters with potential. I don't mind that at all. Dembelle from Fulham, Ayew from Lorient, the young CF from Wolves and now Bamford. RM could well be putting the feelers out, Bamford looked a class act at Youth international level and I was surprised he wasn't given a run towards the end of the season when Chelsea were fragile up front and had secured the title.
