I've been listening to a lot of Talksport today while in work, what a man, he is far and away up there with the greatest of humans.

RIP Sir Bobby.

Truely saddening . Suffered - in silence - for many years .
Gentleman AND a football legend . It's a rarity .

Turned down the Everton job twice , and had the good grace to later say he regretted it . Would've taken our most unlucky side in my lifetime to possible glory in a time when you had to be decent to win the big stuff . It wasnt as conglomeratory as today's footie and there were good sides all over Europe . He managed to do it with sides not too much better than ours of 76/79 .
Just an opinion of course .
Then we have Italia 90 . If he have had 1 tenth of Sir Alf's luck , he have lifted the trophy .
Finally , I wonder how those Geordies who spat at him , whilst England manager , the night he dropped Keegan , feel today ???
I hope they feel like worms .

R.I.P. Sir Bobby .

Yer know what Dave? I can't get me head around idiots like that, okay, we can feel anger towards a manager if things ain't going right but to abuse them/anyone, especially spitting is unforgivable in my eyes. :(

Agreed , mate . Though in this instance there as a tad more sweetness to the fact that he later came back to manage , and do fukn well for them .
The small minded bastards just saw him drop Keegan - not a Geordie - and spat at the manager - a Geordie .
I'd have a stack of dough to say they haven't mentioned it to anyone since .
Dogs .

I Read his autobiography a while ago, great stuff, He was a great man, makes you want to try harder to be a better person.

Will re-read his autobiography again now.
