Never in my entire life have I been as glad to see the back of a football season.

But unfortunately it doesn't just end here because I cannot for the life of me see how things are going to improve next season.

Those substitutions?

Besic for Barkley.......Naismith for Mirallas?

Really?

What was that all about?

I didn't mind Disdin coming on just for last time.

But I am already dreading next season and this has never happened to me before.

I think last year he stumbled upon Moyes good work and added to that with some astute signings. It's all came tumbling down this time though, do you trust him to get us back to where we were? Right now I don't.

Barkley was nowhere as good as many on here thought he was last year. Some spectacular goals and moments of brilliance but his actual overall contribution to team performances was nothing spectacular.

I still believe Barkley is brilliant. Could be a world-beater and I think people are unbelievably harsh on him considering his age and what he's shown he can do - and on top of that, considering he is an Everton fan.. I'd love to see Barkley and Besic in CM together!

TBH 11th place for Everton in a season like this isn't anything of note, only next season will we know if there's been any progression

It's bloody hard to get back up to those levels once you've slipped though. Right now I think this mid table abyss is staring us right in the face for a while.

He has been good in the last five games no wingers today Mirallis is not a winger imo!

Agreed, he improved with Lennon's arrival.

But a run of five or six good games at the back end of the season does not a good season make in my eyes.

And you are spot on about Mirallas.

He may play out wide but he us not a winger in the sense of the word that you and I know it.

To be honest, I don't know where one would play Mirallas to bring the best out of him.

I think Barkley's a very good young player too, just not in this role he's being asked to perform.

I swear you could put most players in his position this year and they'd struggle. Our approach is so negative that when he gets the ball the opposition can have two players around him to stifle any threat.

At Goodison especially we need to only have one holding player in there.

People more bothered about Liverpool getting battered and giving Distin a send-off than they are about winning or playing well. Embarrassing.

Why anyone in the right mind stayed behind to applaud that shower is beyond me. Our club will get nowhere whilst so many of our supporters have this ridiculous, small-time, settle-for-mediocrity attitude.

We need two good wingers, and two good play makers and rid the deadwood or RM will be gone by December Lukarku prem goals in a poor side kept us up!
