Do you see our style of player changing dramatically even if we sign good attacking players?

The main problems are at the back, No pressure, Slow boring build up

Don't think our defence is the main problem, though we really need another CB. But yes, the lack of pressing and the 'patient' (read: ball-achingly dull) build up play is a huge factor. Actually, can you even call it build up play if it never builds up to anything?

Coleman played like he was still full of Guinness, from the party He has had a good season though, Barry needs to be rid off our midfield was totally outplayed RM was again responsible for men V the boys today as we made Spurs look like Barcelona - RM would you trust him to spend?
Clueless it took an old campainer like Osman to show the way , and Galloway in the 2nd half to have fight and desire -
Point is we made less chances in the 2nd half than the crap performance in the 1st half - no width no midfield lucky spurs took the foot off the gas never seen a blues team outplayed out fought like that for a long time - glad its the last game as we need five new players and deadwood cut out!
The manager needs to be warned nothing but the best will do - not that rubbish today!
a crass performance that summed our season up!

Nope

Just keeping the ball warm until Ross gives it away

Hopefully we have some money to spend, and if so, he spends it in the right places. It's clear we have absolutely no guile or vision in this team.

...it's not just the manager who has to look at himself. Be interesting to see if there is any early comings or goings, not including Distin and Garbutt.

Delighted for young Galloway, he has looked a class act at youth level and the indication is that he has the quality to step up.

Great season, lads...

Barry/Alcaraz/Hibbert/Distin/Howard/Atsu and Kone need showing the door

Our squad is full of proper turd

Take away Kev/Lukaku and McCarthy and our side is dog shi7

We need a new Pienaar/Osman I think. Desperately. And to stop this 1 or 0 winger approach. And... ah feck it.

Can't be arsed anymore. That's what this season has done to me more than anything; it's drained my enjoyment.

I'm phenomenally apathetic.

Just 11 more goals conceded and 13 less scored this season than last. We have big issues in every position.

Yes but you can tell he is not a left back - full of promise how Barry gets a game is a joke!

This is the worst team, manager, board, fans I have witnessed in over 200 years of watching everton
I wouldn't go that far, but we are poor. It's roughly the same squad as last season apart from Duelofeu, who can't get a game in Spain, so what's gone wrong?

The obvious answer is the manager, but it must be more than that. Look at Ross Barkley. His decline surely can't be the fault
of Martinez, can it?

Royle/Ferguson whoever! They are already at the club so it's no 'Dalgleish' thing and I bet Royle would do better than Martinez would next season. First season a fluke, persistence with Barry/McCarthy obsession (there's an obsession for you) even in the last game, a joke, Barkley needs to be inspired, unleashed and free, Besic is motivated, but held back. Hardly see us finishing top 8 next season considering all this.

what was flukey about last season? i don't remember anything being lucky. record PL points total. a total which would have been good enough for champions league this season i think - that's bad luck if anything.

you seem to forget he is the one who unleashed barkley.

True but if your attack is woeful you'll concede more too. There's a reason Barca have the fewest conceded in La Liga. They don't have the best defenders or the best defence, they just have the ball for 80% of the game and pummel the opposition. Additionally they defend as a team with good pressing.

We don't press. Our attack can't hold onto the ball. Our midfield passes more to the opposition than to our attack. All of that means we'll concede, regardless of our defence. We do definitely need another CB, and maybe a RB to press Seamus a bit.

Unacceptable season ! The lowest points and league position for well over a decade. Out of all the cup competitions early doors. There has been little to cheer about all season. We need to see a big improvement early next season or some big decisions need to be made about the future of Everton Football Club.
