minor things that make you fume

"Mums know best" and "mums care most" approaches to advertising for products, food, drink etc for babies and young children as if dads never play a role in this or are hopeless or can't be trusted to know what is best for their children, all very insulting.

More specifically, looking for a room in London. Absolute nightmare.
I feel your pain mate. It took me 2 whole months to find something decent after viewing about 10 utter dives and endless searching.

I found the best thing to do was to do the Early Bird upgrade and just contact adverts posted in the last 2 days. The place I'm in now had about 100 contacts in 3 days. It's mental. You have to do the Early Bird to stand a chance really.

I once contacted someone about his flat (in London) on spareroom about 20 minutes after he posted it, arranged a viewing for about two hours after I phoned him and it had gone by the time I got there. So yes, flat hunting in London is a nightmare. Still fuming about it to this day

The worst 'viewing' I did was on the Royal Docks in East London. I got there and there was a BMW full of blacks guys smoking weed sat outside, music blasting away and what sounded like Cerbarus barking outside.

Got straight back in my car and drove off.

I'm dead picky but I found a nice flat, had a viewing on sunday. Got on like a house on fire with the two blokes who lived there...only for them to offer the room to someone else. Bells.

And Yeh, early bird is pretty much a must. I also can't believe how many room shares there are! Who the hell is doing that!

I had the same. Looked at a room and got on with everyone great, didn't hear anything for a couple of days and found out they gave it to a girl. Desperate tw@s.

I know, as if sharing a house isn't enough? (nothing against that, it's necessary in London) Can you believe some people are willing to spend up to £200 A WEEK to share a room in central. It's so tragic, it actually annoys me!
