Labour were truly had off by the polling organisations, if they had known they were so far behind then they could have fought dirty just like the Tories did and it could have been different.

Labour were too nice, too dignified, the Tories lead a campaign full of smear, scaremongering and school yard bullying that got the job done.

Labour spent the last week saying the Tories are about to privatise the NHS.

Take off the blinkers - both parties engaged in smears, in scaremongering and bullying. That has happened in every election since year dot.

To be fair though, they do their own polling and don't just rely on MORI and the like.

If they were blind sided by the pollsters then more fool them.

Even those exit polls last night were wrong.....they were not pointing toward an overall Tory victory.

Its all about the financial institutions using the UK as a gateway to the Eurozone. We were perfectly placed, with our membership of the EU, the transport infrastructure, the language and our relationship with the US. Why throw away one of the biggest advantages we have?

Indeed, there are a couple of things that need reforming but EU membership will be retained.......

You sound confident, don't let last night go to your head ;).

I don't think I need to post my concerns again on the issue, but there are undertones that are deeply worrying.

The Strathclyde Professor doing the exit polls very quickly identified that the Tories may well get a majority. Even when the results were lining up with the exit poll, and the 2010 exit poll got it spot on, the LD's and some Labour supporters were still in denial........
