Delighted for him last night. There were people there last night who had turned up to kick off at the first sight of danger. Fair enough we were useless for 30/35 minutes but once we got the ball down and played.

Also, how can anyone say the fans and crowd helped last night ? It was horrible and poisonous for a good portion of the first half. Nobody would want to play for the fans acting like that last night. The Gaffer got into them at half time and changed it. He's the reason. There was a swagger about them second half not seen since last season.

I can certainly say the crowd helped last night......it was the crowd which brought us back into a game we were being run ragged in.

if the atmosphere was "poisonous" it was because the play on the field was arsenic.

You contradict yourself by saying the players wouldn't want to play for fans behaving as they did last night.....when in actual fact that was exactly what they did do......they upped their game due to the crowd's urgings

And there seems to be an attempt to re-write the history of last night's game to say that the change came after half time following Robrto's team talk.

The change came with one third of the first half remaining.....long before the "Gaffer got into them".

The team responded to the crowd, who had responded to the team when 2 or 3 of them battled away in the corner for a throw in, and someone made an ace tackle.

Kiev looked like the 1st European team to have done their homework on us and set up narrow and compact because, as we saw against stoke most recently, we can't break that down with pure possession.

If we had maintained the same style I don't think we would have prevailed.

Going on our form this season we had nothing to lose.

It's not ideal. Ideally the manager would see the problems and change the system.

I'm not saying his system is wrong or right. But for this club with these players it's obviously not working.

He's had a full season to change it and it hasn't happened.

Somebody had to step up, take responsibility and change it. In the end it looks like it was the players.

I really rate Everton boss Roberto Martinez, I think he is a great manager, and I think his players have got to pull their socks up now. 2-1

Would I like Martinez to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal boss? I don't want anyone to replace Wenger at the moment but, when he does go, we could do a lot worse, definitely.

He's a young manager who has plenty to learn. The question mark is whether he's just too stubborn to actually learn. He has all the basics in place to be a top manager - but if he's not prepared to understand that his way isn't always the best way then he's doomed to mediocrity in the long run.
