Yes mate, agreed, he is.....makes me question as to why he's suddenly 'available' for interview and quotable though...

Maybe Martinez wants to keep a low profile at the moment seeing as all isn't well and he's sent his trusted lieutenant out to deflect some of the flack for a scheduled conference?

Seems obvious to me but your the media man it apparently.

Nah mate, was, not now, keep a toe in, that's all

TBH, and despite what's now my slant on it, I actually feel for RM at the moment, he looked like a different manager/man coming off the pitch the other night, the pressure must be immense. He looked utterly rattled, perhaps that's a good thing though? (I hope) It's just these things tend to follow a pattern, always, and generally start like this...

Either way, grim times eh...

I agree he's rattled, it pressure he's never experienced before.

But the way you're trying to portray this is Martinez as Cesar and Jones as Brutus when you know full well Martinez will be the one who either declines or accepts interviews. It's not as if Jones has decided to do this independently and the local media gathered while he's twisted the knife.

I think you're making to much of the 'Ides of March' proverb.

Jones speaks out, "we can pull away from danger", so he recognises the chronic situation why is'nt RM speaking out about the danger instead of blabbing on about things like tired legs, parasites, unlucky!

You don't sense the Management team are starting to panic with how they took Wigan down, and are scared to make decisions on field, fearing possible relegation again?
They have been talking a relegation battle for a few weeks now. Even before we were in one.

Can't say I've seen that, tbh. And I don't think they're panicking. Martinez looked terrible after the Stoke game, so maybe that's all changing now. He looked under pressure for the first time. They no doubt are aware that their wigan experience is being used to judge them.

Haaaaaa, I like that, but no, no I'm not...

Don't think I've perhaps made myself clear, I genuinely believe he's out to support him, without question...there's no knife to twist from Mr Jones mate, apols if I painted it that way. I meant I feel there'll be a kinda build on the two camps now, the for's & against's, can't recall hearing much from him in the past, that's all...

I think it's a good thing mate, I think it's best of Martinez puts a lid on what he says for a few days and doesn't Stoke the flames ( just read back that's not meant to be a pun regarding Stoke either ). Nothing wrong with his assistant taking a bit of flak off him atm. Best thing Martinez and the players can do for a few days is just shut up because they are just taking us for mugs every interview and it only works to turn more fans displeasure into full blown wanting him out. That's my take on it anyway mate.

Bring Dave Watson home,he'd organise us defensively of that there is no doubt, and he's got enough about him to tell Bobby there is a time and a place for the tippy tappy stuff and a time for Row Z.

I,d have more confidence in Gustave H and Zero Moustafa running the affairs of Everton Football Club.

I'm just hoping we turn in a decent performance again thursday Macca, otherwise I can see the ground being positively toxic next sunday.

Management and players closing ranks and all talking from the same hymn sheet for the foreseeable future. Good interview with Leon after his 90 mins the other night, I know he is not liked on here but the fans at GP gave him a huge ovation when he returned and he is a very intelligent footballer(we need him right now). Please sort our left side out bobby, Play baines and Garbutt if you need to just stop crosses coming into our box.
