Really? The team showed fight last night, anyone who thinks they didn't were watching a different game.

I was thinking this last night. We were bottom of the league for the first half of '94/95.

Can you imagine some of the younger fans if that was the case now?

It's not great, but this is fixable.

Sometimes Groucho When you see disaster that is out of your control you can't raise yourself up to fight against it.

We can all see whats happening and what the problems are. We can all see the horrible similarities between us and wigan, hell even go on thier forums and archive the same complaints. We can think everything we want to think but........

We know he isnt leaving the club, we know the tactics arent changing and we know that the impossible is becoming slightly more possible with each dejected loss.

Until yesterday i was still a little bit optimistic about it as long as we started to get results. Personally seeing the same game and result again makes me very close to the sack the manager camp. i said two months ago we should sack him if we were in the relgation battle by march and despite only winning once we are still on the very edge of it.

but general question to fans, what is the point of no return in regards to the manager in your eyes?

I wasn't trying to make a point about the manager.

Perhaps not but it is the source of the discontent and why the vast majority of the fans arent getting behind the team anymore.

I think you're making excuses for them with regards to the fans tbh. From the little snippets you hear the players are more than willing to buy into it as well.

Goodison has always been 40,000 angry folk moaning and groaning, but it's always been good to us. Well, at least in the last 10 years. The reason we're not performing is completely down to the tactics and bugger all to do with the fans.

But even at our worst times the team was still spurred on. Now folk just want to moan and boo, and seem eager and delighted to at the first opportunity.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not enjoying it.

There's a place for moaning and booing, I'm not against it, but moaning and jeering has now taken over supporting the team.

Least equipped? We've got the best team by a million miles in the bottom half. Everyone else has a team of Naismith's, if push came to shove we are the MOST equipped team for a fight.

Name me which players actually fight for 'the cause'. Besic potentially is the least capable but he's been benched.
We possess no leaders only players who keep peddling pointless soundbytes that they never back up.
You say we have the best team by a million miles and on paper we do but when was the last time we lived up to that reputation in the league

Agree, but why not sell him in January and get a replacement in. Putting him on for 10 mins per game makes no sense.

Precisely! He is largely strolling around the pitch looking disinterested. With him and Lennon providing nothing I'm almost hoping for the return of McGeady!

The reason a lot are moaning is because we have a fantastic squad and we should be nowhere near the relegation zone.
The 94 and 98 squads were poor compared to the rest in the league especially the 98 so is was not unexpected to be fighting for survival.
I was at both games and even after the Coventry game wanted kendall to stay

We shoudnt be relying on other teams mate with this squad. We shoudnt be in this position with this squad. Martinez takes the blame by not changing his ways and now it's taking it's toll. He's had numerous games to fix this he's not and now we are staring into the bottom. Not good enough not good enough.
