I'm obviously not saying it's rosey at the moment, but we're 6 points off the zone.

Not in it, not above it on goal difference, not one point out of it.

We're 14th (I think) and 6 points off. Now that's crap by our standards I admit, but we need to stop melting down and look at things realistically. All I see at the moment is "OH MY GOD LAD THEYVE GOT A CORNER WERE GOIN DOWN LAAAAA WE CANT SCORE OFF CORNERS WHO ARE YOU SUPPORTIN NEXT SEASON WHEN WE GO DOWN".

We've a good squad that needs a break just like Oxford '84. It doesn't need 40,000 angry folk making things worse. If I was a youth player in our books, I'm not sure I'd enjoy the prospect of playing at Goodison at the moment.

I remember back to the dark old days of '94 and '98 - as bad as it got, as a crowd we got behind the team, yes we booed when warranted but we didn't jump on the players for every sole mishap. That will only have a 100% negative effect.

I'm not saying we should be happy about our situation because we shouldn't, but we need to do our bit, regardless of whether Roberto or someone else is in charge.

If we don't stay positive, where's the point?

I'm not happy about it, but If we think we're beaten then we might as well not bother, shall we?

We've a chance to get out of this, but a lot seem to simply accept that we've had it.

That'll get us nowhere.

We are probably the least equipped team in the lower half to fight a relegation battle. We play a predictable formation and game and never seem capable of battling our way to victory.

What the f*** is the story with Mirallas? He'll start a game and be subbed after an hour then he'll be on the bench next game and this cycle has been repeated for months. Is he that unfit or is he out of favour?

The only reality is that there are a few crap teams below us. We reply on them not getting points so that we can stay afloat. Will this last any longer? Villa are getting points and those teams below us will play each other soon. We are only 6 points above the relegation zone and if QPR get a win that will be down to 3. Part of the fans don't really want to be knee-jerkers but we are forced to because Martinez does not re-assess his failure and point this towards bad luck and small margins.

I do agree we all have to get behind the team through thick and thin so for all of you lads who can attend the next game, please do not boo...

Ended his EFC career with that peno miss.

Sometimes Groucho When you see disaster that is out of your control you can't raise yourself up to fight against it.

We can all see whats happening and what the problems are. We can all see the horrible similarities between us and wigan, hell even go on thier forums and archive the same complaints. We can think everything we want to think but........

We know he isnt leaving the club, we know the tactics arent changing and we know that the impossible is becoming slightly more possible with each dejected loss.

Until yesterday i was still a little bit optimistic about it as long as we started to get results. Personally seeing the same game and result again makes me very close to the sack the manager camp. i said two months ago we should sack him if we were in the relgation battle by march and despite only winning once we are still on the very edge of it.

but general question to fans, what is the point of no return in regards to the manager in your eyes?

I think you're making excuses for them with regards to the fans tbh. From the little snippets you hear the players are more than willing to buy into it as well.

Goodison has always been 40,000 angry folk moaning and groaning, but it's always been good to us. Well, at least in the last 10 years. The reason we're not performing is completely down to the tactics and bugger all to do with the fans.

I have no idea how to rectify the situation at the moment

Martinez just seems incapable of a different set of tactics to the ones we're using

The Chucklevision passing is just not working and we don't even seem capable of playing more directly either

It's just a giant mess and we're running out of time now

Only thing I could suggest is getting Garbutt, Coleman, Mirallas and Lennon to bolt down the wing and lump crosses into L

Least equipped? We've got the best team by a million miles in the bottom half. Everyone else has a team of Naismith's, if push came to shove we are the MOST equipped team for a fight.
