Relegation Fight 2014/2015

Doesn't really matter if this increases our chances of safety or not. No one really thinks Everton will go down. The season regardless of relegation is a disgrace. If people want to give him another season fine, but don't make out merely securing premier league status thanks to the ineptitude of Burnley Leicester and one other is something to be praised. It's not. With our squad and the state of the premier league 10th would have been disgraceful. Bottom half is an abomination, a relegation battle is complete and utter failure. The results tonight don't make Martinez a better or worse manager. There's lots of people who think he isn't up to the job and have a lot of evidence to back that up regardless of whether we scrape survival. Still can't believe i'm even typing those words.

This question is to all the voters who want Martinez out. Do you want to lose games so he is sacked? I would love someone to come out and be totally honest because I feel there is people like that on here. If I'm wrong I apologise but it's a feeling I get

Obviously not. If we finish 15th, certain people on here will be acting like the "plotters" have "lost" their battle to "unseat" the manager. Not at all, I'd still want him gone if we finish below 12th, that is a shambles and completely unacceptable

Same, but it's not panic stations yet. The season is a write-off, once it's out the way we can evaluate then. I'm confident we wont be relegated and I believe we have a good chance of a trophy.

There's issues mate. We shoudnt be in this position in the league with the squad we have. If we stay up there's other things that need looking at won't our revenue be affected to? I hope your right about the trophy

I think you need to read my post again; reacted???

Stating that we shouldn't be in a position were we are looking for other people's results; which we shouldn't.

So I think you owe me an apology for lying again.

In your own time fella
That's exactly what you did.

Stevie Wonder could have seen those results, looked at the table and understood immediately they were beneficial.

Does anyone remember the halcyon days of when we were twelfth in the league and thought " Nah, no way 6 teams below will finish the season better than us " Hull Tigers pride of Humberside only a point off us now,

They were the days.

The next two games are crucial. Come out with 4 points and we're fine IMO.

1 point or less and this starts to become a very real prospect. Still not panic stations but we would be right in the middle of the fight to stay up.

What a ridiculous thing to ask, anyone who says yes is not an evertonian

Never in a million years would I want a manager to loose games.

I'd rather loose face and him turn it round and have us challenging for the league; but the [Poor language removed] we are watching is awful and the worse I've seen since walker
You do remember Walter don't you mate

By stating we shouldn't be in a situation to be keeping an eye out for other people's results haha ok you massive troll.

That's a statement of fact not a reaction

Take a bow. Wisest post I've read in a while

I think if we got relegated the FA would turn round and say "you know what, they were 12th in February and their manager got a record points haul last season, therefore I think they should stay up by default. Send Burnley back from whence they came instead"

Happy days Moomin.

No, no, no...I completely agree with the sentiment you state there. But I'm talking about how you were trying to present those results tonight. Just that specifically.

Anyway, I can see it's pointless continuing to petition you for an apology. Let's leave it there.

these comments are getting so common on here... Nobody thinks this is a good situation. Nobody thinks its worthy of praise. You can be supportive of giving the boss time AND think this season is a mess. They aren't mutually exclusive.
