Didn't moyes hit a spell were he almost lost the dressing room through being too tough ,so he re changed his style lightened up and got the guy's back on board, if Martinez continues to play a system that the players don't fit he's finished. Round pegs in round holes.
That's one of his main problems he won't change when things don't work.

He's taking us nowhere. He'll not turn this around and have us smashing sides left, right and centre next season, it simply isn't going to happen. It's gone tits for him at Goodison, it happens, he's far from the first and won't be the last to have a one season wonder - as that's he's had in the league in his entire career to press.

You're an irrelevancy to this debate. You made your choice to oppose Martinez from his appointment onward.

How can you be taken seriously? How?

Hahaha another fail. Well done sir you're persistent in your ability to lie with no supporting evidence.

Oh well let's see shall we, I spend my hard earned cash going the game and have been watching this season fall to bits in front of me with useless tactics.

Pretty much a good reason, how about you??? Been to many games this season to give your more of an opinion than me??? Thought not.

Anyway if that's the stance your taking then you have no relevance in any conversation relating to BK, Moyes, Howard, Distin, Jags, Pienaar, Osman ....seeing has your stand is clearly set on what you think about their loyalty to this club, past or present.

Your swinging and missing again with your pathetic attempts to win an argument.

Clearly can't see what's happening on the pitch, maybe your stream is a bit iffy?? And the bore of listening to what he did last year, give it a rest, we're in a new season now and it's been put to bed. Because if the worst did happen, and we did go down, do you think he'll be remembered has the man who gave us that one boss season of ace togger or the blurt who relegated one of the country's long standing prestigious clubs??

Your lies and intolerable bs are becoming a drain. Go spend your day bitching about how lucky the RS are or something about how much of a fraud rodgers is (even though you wanted him in our hot seat)

Ultimately the players will decide his fate. If they play for him and are behind him, he'll probably stay. If they're not (which it looks that way from the deafening silence out of Goodison and the apathy of players during the game) then Kenwright will have no choice but to either back the players or back the manager. Either way unless things improve there will be a major clear out in the summer either of the managerial team or of the players and history dictates one is cheaper and easier to shift than the other. The exec team at Everton are not idiots (well actually....) but even they must be able to do the same forecasts we are and see that we are very much in a relegation scrap. They can't not be reading the papers and I refuse to believe they do not monitor social media considering most other companies do to measure customer experience. Martinez has become crankier and crankier in recent press conferences and I found his ramblings about parasite clubs bizarre. Something is definitely not all rosy in the garden but as of yet we don't know which way it will go.

We are going down if this slide isn't arrested.

How long does Bill wait before pulling the plug?

No fresh ideas, no changes, the "system" comes first.

Drop Howard, Drop Barry, Drop Lukaku

Midfield: 2 of Besic/Mccarthy/Gibbo + Barkley please

Wingers: Mirallas and lennon

Naismith/Kone up front (more to give lukaku a kick up the arse than anything else)

He isn't going anywhere but the reality is he hasn't performed this year at all , ageing squad hasn't helped and a few injury , every team gets those
His tactics are not fluent and any team that gets behind the ball has the job half done against us, it's a wonder one of the European teams,Haven't got on to it .
On current form he should be under pressure for the results and performance on the pitch which isn't very good to watch, make no mistake
We are in a fight to stay up the fact we have won 3 out of 26 and 1 out of 11 in the last run tells you all you need to know unless your deluded
From pre season to not getting a few in to buck the squad up in December he just seems to be like a rabbit caught in the headlights
He knows a he is in trouble but can't seem to do anything about it and has frozen, same tactics same under performing players every week and dosn't Seem to be able to inspire the squad plus his history at Wigan has me worried , last season was good but you can't live on that when
we are in danger, if you under performed in your job like he has you wouldn't last very long.
His contract costs are nothing to what we lose if we go down so it shouldn't come into it, if we don't get a result from Stoke Newcastle
He should go while we still have a chance , in fact if he had any pride he would walk.
If we get safe I hope he is given a decent transfer bujet to get a younger squad together , but I would if I were kenwright say you Are going to have to Shake yourself and your backroom staff up or I will and if you don't like it there's the door.

If the manager isn't changed then what will change? He's stuck to an approach that hasn't worked all season.

We've been playing Thursday/Sunday football for much of the season. This puts us at a big disadvantage in the league.

It even affects the game at Stoke - they played on Saturday and have had 3 days to recover. We will play 5 games in 14 days, with just 2 days to recover from the last one. It's no wonder we look slow.

I'd like us to get back to the standard pattern - but we've got another difficult run coming up shortly. Which games should we concentrate on - the Europa League or the Premier League?

I can hear the answer now - We've got to play our strongest team! I wonder why Mourinho, Wenger, Pellegrini and Pochettino keep rotating their teams. Someone should tell them that they are doing it all wrong.

Because they have the squad depth to do it. We don't

Exactly! We haven't got the squad depth to compete in every game! And injuries have made the situation worse.

If we play our strongest team in every game, we simply wear them out. And then we won't win any games.

We have to decide which is our priority - the Europa League or the Premier League. And then we have to use our squad of players to get the best outcome.

@Stanley Parker - the EL fixture excuse doesn't stand up to any scrutiny at all mate.

After our last group game on the 11th Dec until the 1st knockout game at YB's, we played 12 games in total

We only won 2 of them - QPR and Palace - the former being the game directly after the last Group game.

That's one of his main problems he won't change when things don't work.

I think he is willing to change. Moyes changed his ways too, but importantly that summer Moyes was able to move on particular players who had obviously become a disruptive influence. Obviously Rooney went, who had outlived Everton and Radzinski went having made some quite snide remarks. Linderoth and Gravesen also moved on.

I don't think it is just about a change in style. I think some of the experienced players have lost faith with Martinez. Mirallas's reaction on Sunday told a story. Like with Rooney, when you have a player who thinks they are too good for the club it can have a very corrosive influence. I suspect Mirallas, alongside Distin and Etoo have lost faith in Martinez's abilities.

Martinez does need to change (I feel he has done) but he also needs to move 3-4 on in the summer and find people who want to play for the club. The frustrating thing is, he has bought some really good young players, and brought along some others.

Barkley, Stones and now Garbutt have really made an emergence under Martinez. Lukaku, Besic and McCarthy have done all been good signings. When you throw in the likes of Coleman we have as strong a nucleus of good players as we have had for a while. This is down to Martinez himself and gives me some cause for optimism.

there is no one available that can come in, over haul this squad, and produce a better end of season finish in this short space of time. If we were going to be getting rid of Roberto he'd have been sacked in December. Its not going to happen before may..

But it's a process that gradually wears you down. Especially when, as Blue Wally said, we haven't got the squad depth to rotate the team. And it's something new to Roberto.

It was something new to Brendan too. He has now been eliminated from both the Champions League and the Europa League.

Midweek European games - even when they were on Tuesdays/Wednesdays - have dragged down plenty of teams before us. On more than one occasion, clubs have chosen to end their European campaigns by turning out teams of reserve players.

It's certainly a contributory factor to our current position. And it's going to make the games against Stoke, Newcastle and QPR more challenging.
