....absolutely not for me. I don't think there's a Manager who hasn't been on the brink and the club were rewarded for keeping faith. Regular change in manager's results in real instability, it doesn't work. Keep the faith.

The real worry for me is his comments to the media, unless he is telling lies week after week he seems to think we're playing well and until he realises that no we are not nothing is going to change. His team selections have become nothing short of bizzare and there are a number of players who appear to have no concerns about being dropped because no matter how poor they perform they start game after game. Forgive my twitchy panicky knee jerking but there is a frightening similarity between this season and wigans last in the prem, defiantly playing cute triangles in defence whilst we plummet to the foot of the table!

League games are a chore to watch. I can't wait for the season to end* so we can see who wants to desert and who wants to stay and put things right next season.

*I'm still not ruling out Europa success as Martinez seems to get them playing for it and also european managers seem as stubborn as he is when it comes to adopting the english style to get a result against us.

And if he is moved on within a few months of the new season those new players may not suitable to the new manager. It is an awkward situation. I am not saying he should stay or leave but am being a bit of coward at the moment eating cheese on toast!

That's the thing BK should think about.

If we play like this, he will surely be gone by Christmas. What make people think we will be back to the winning way given how boring this team is this season. It's like our tactics got found out. The worst thing is Martinez sees no problem in it.

There's still so long to go in the Europa. Given the mentality of our players and the way we're playing I just can't see us winning it.

I'm sure you're right, he probably will still be here for next season.

And yes, I don't suppose many people expected much from today's match, but it's just the manner of the defeat that hurts the most. Same for the whole season (for me, at least).

He really has a lot of work to do.. Last season was brilliant but that doesn't mean he's invincible from now on...

This is exactly it.

It is the manner of the defeat.

No one fumed after the Chelsea defeat because we battled like Trojans and only succumbed to a late sucker punch.

(Well, there was a fume over the goalkeeping selection but not over the actual performance)

But today was totally different.

They didn't hammer away at us....we were comfortable at the back most of the first half and we were running at 71% of that infernal " possession" stat after half an hour.

Yet could barely muster but one shot at goal and that more like a conversion at rugby.

Wenger took revenge for last season at Goodison today.

He made Roberto his bitch.

Let him have the ball safe in the knowkedge we couldn't hurt him.

And Martinez, a man ever in thrall to his own ego, hadn't the nous to realise what was going on and change tack.

He thought he was outfoxing Arsene.

Pathetic stuff.

Providing he steers us clear of relegation, he should stay. Give him the Summer to try and turn things around, the season hasn't been a complete disaster. Yet.

Looks like roberto before choosing howard over joel
First half was a masterclass in retaining possession in your own half for no productive reason.
Other teams just let us have the ball knowing we won't get near their goal

Remember seeing him interviewed at emirates the night wigan went down. Said he was "shocked" it had happened
