It's just fume for fume's sake. We were odds on to leave empty handed today. The Emirates is NOT the place we'll get our points this season.

I prefer to remain calm and supportive of a manager who deserves it after last season. I know that's hard for the fickle and the easily outraged to understand but that's just hard lines.

Martinez is our manager now, he will be our manager next season.

I really dont know why this managerial position keeps cropping up...you can bet that as long as we get to safety...which we will...Kenwright isn't going to change managers. Not a chance of that. So settle down and count off the points to safety and enjoy the EL run.

I'm sure you're right, he probably will still be here for next season.

And yes, I don't suppose many people expected much from today's match, but it's just the manner of the defeat that hurts the most. Same for the whole season (for me, at least).

He really has a lot of work to do.. Last season was brilliant but that doesn't mean he's invincible from now on...

We'll get them. It'll probably be as low as 35/36 this season.

11 games is easily enough. We'll get to safety by the middle of April, I reckon.
35 points and safety with only a few weeks remaining. What a shocking result that would be.

Last season doesn't matter one jot, this season he's been beyond clueless and if your prediction is correct he should be clearing his desk come May.

If we're lucky from the remaining fixtures optimistically we could pick up about 14 points based on the teams we have at home more than the away games (although we are pants at home so its very optimistic) if this is the case we could finish the season with 42 points and based on the league at the moment Swansea already have 40 and are 8th in the league so if we are lucky from now till the end of the season the best we are looking at is anywhere between 11-13th in the league.

For me based on league form alone and genuine lack of willingness to change Martinez would be gone before next season his only saving grace now is the europa league. If (big IF) we somehow end up winning it then as we know that will give us champions league and allow us to potentially look into a few players who will then be tempted by being in the big competition however if we go out in the next round or any subsequent round after that we are going to be left with a squad of players who imo are going to want out of this club and looking for a european team.

If this is the case i would not be surprised to see Mirallas, Stones, Coleman, Barkley (undeservedly), Lukaku (kind of hoping someone will want him), McCarthy may all come under interest in the summer and if even 2/3 of these leave we are then in the difficult position of can we trust Martinez to rebuild a side capable of gtting us back into a european slot but on half the budget it would usually have to get these players based on what happened the season before. For this reason alone he would have to be gone, i don't trust him with money to build a team look at his time at wigan at no point even with transfers did they ever improve and imo we would be best served going down the Southampton route of letting the players who heads have got to big to leave and then bring in a manager and allow him to build the side in his image as Koeman has.

If i had to choose a manager to replace him without going for someone proven in the prem i would look at De Boer, if hes prepared to take on that pile of arse at NUFC im sure he would be happy enough here with a team proven to be regulars within the top 7/8.

Finished the game with lennon playing centre forward, how many more players is he gonna play out of form and out of position.

Martinez will only redeem himself unless we win the Europa without getting relegated.

This disgraceful season is enough to get him sacked. I have no idea if we should still keep him in the summer because he will use the budget to sign new players.

And if he is moved on within a few months of the new season those new players may not suitable to the new manager. It is an awkward situation. I am not saying he should stay or leave but am being a bit of coward at the moment eating cheese on toast!
