I'm with the cheese on this. What was remarkable about 04-05 is players like gravesen and martyn who had been dire the year before and would be poor the year after (albeit gravesen wasn't with us then) suddenly played like they were the world's best.

Both deserve huge plaudits for that one amazing season but they weren't great outside it.

Martyn was class end of. One bad mistake where he parried a shot against the RS at the pit. There was even a talk of him getting back into the England fold even though age was against him. The fella was class, you don't need any stat to know that, with your own eyes you could see he was superb. If we'd had him the past 3 or r years you could add on another 10 points minimum to our total.
