I'll just leave this here

With Eto gone and the club letting Connor Mac going out on loan Henen will be our third choice, it wouldn't be bad seeing him get a bit of a shot to see if we want to buy him permeantly.

didnt martinez say he hoped henen would be involved with the first team before the end of the season?
we cant finish higher than 9th now imo so get to 40 points and start giving players like henen, ledson and galloway minutes in the premier league.

Can't see them getting much meaningful game time to be honest. Martinez won't drop Barry/lukaku/baines so I can't see them getting much of a look in.. As much as I would like to see them play

I watched the U21s last night and Henen was the stand out player, good run and finish for his goal, plenty of pace and seems to have a football brain as well.

Encouraging displays from Ledson, Kenny and Galloway. Duffus look promising, but faded after half an hour, not sure if he had an injury, but was substituted later on. Francisco Junior played.

Bevis Mugabe was a beast of a man, looked at least 35. Didn't murder anyone.

I was under the impression that Henen was good at the Mirallas/Ronaldo type wide striker role? Maybe he could get some minutes there.

The good thing about having a crap season is that the last 5 games maybe even more should be effectively dead rubber games. It might allow us to play a lot of the U21s. Galloway, Browning, Henen, Garbutt (if he signs), Ledson and perhaps even Green might get games.

the others might, but he has no chance.

As to what RM said, don't count you chickens just yet. I doubt if he will give the younger players a chance.
BTW I just watched a vid of a game back in the late 60's, Everton V Man U at GP in front of a crowd of 65,000. Wolstenholme the commentatror mentioned that in the Everton team there I think 6/7 players under 21.

Can you honestly see RM trying out the young players? I can't.

Well we have 4 in : Besic (22), Barkley (21), Stones (20) and Lukaku (21).

Garbutt (21) and Browning (20) have also played this year. He plays them when they are ready.

At 18 Henen would be doing well to be ready but you never know. Ledson got on the bench last year.
