He was never going to play in the first team at that age, he doesn't for Spurs every game now. If we wanted him we could have signed him but we didn't. It's not the same as Moyes sending him back because he wasn't good enough.

Is that around the same time Moyes went out and got a certain John Stones?
 


It's stuff like this and galloway that makes me think we should stick with martinez, for all his short term faults this season he genuinely does have a vision for the future, whether this future is worth offsetting against another ten years of barry is the real question
Definitely and when he wants to he can even get us defending better than a Moyes team.
