No, I and others are trying to slow down a runaway train of panic and hysteria inspired by people who's goal it is to unseat the manager.

That's all this is and can be at this stage. Decent people are being duped by these phonies. Dont let them wreck your head and confidence about where we are right now and what this team is capable of in the remainder of the season. Dont fall for it.

Doesn't change the fact that it's points, not places, that determine a relegation battle.

Fair enough, you take a less sanguine view of the danger than I do right now.

Point still stands though: there are a handful of people on this and other forums trying to kick up a panic about relegation and they're dragging down that path an awful lot of good people with them.

I think we may have already turned the corner in recent games.
We were solid against City.
We played well against West Ham in the replay, even with ten men.
We were very solid against West Brom at home, we lacked imagination and goal threat , but Pulis is a past master
at making clubs difficult to beat and plently of other clubs are going to struggle against WBA for the rest of this season.
I think we may pick up something away to Palace and if McCarthy is fit again, Mirallas back in the fold , hopefully Osman and/or
Pienaar as well shortly then we wll be fine.

We were the better team in three of the last four games, with City obviously a cut above - though even here we had the best chances to win it.

Of course, that doesn't fit the 'need to panic' narrative being peddled

Teams in the relegation zone rarely string numerous results together otherwise they wouldn't be there.

If you are 14th, you need 4 teams to overtake you. With 3 games to go and us having 2 home games, one against sunderland to play you need 4 teams bettering your results to send you down. All 4 teams are not going to do it

If you're 17th you only need one team to go on a run. And one team always does.

I'd rather have teams between us and relegation than points.

You can't be serious......surely...

i agree with you.

The recovery has started but we have barely noticed thanks to one Kevin Mirallas.

If he acts the Christian the other night we most likely go on to win that game in a canter.

I fancy we will beat Palace and then do the RS.

And then we can all start dreaming about Warsaw in the spring again.

Crisis?

What crisis?

COYB.

It is of concern though, that we have 'turned a corner' but are still the worst form team in the league.
I think the City game is about the level we were a couple of years ago, we are a shadow of it at the moment.
I still blame the pre season, we never recovered from it, and I still think next season will be a massive improvement. But I may just be being a bit kopite there.
