Problem solved, get them fit and top four here we come:

"Everton are missing a litle last third “magic” from injured stars Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar says boss Roberto Martinez.

Osman is struggling with a foot ligament problem and hasn’t featured since the defeat at Manchester City on December 6.

Martinez says that the midfielder will not need surgery, but is not expected to return any time soon.

Pienaar is suffering from a knee injury and made his last appearance as a late substitute in the Blues last victory against Queens Park Rangers on december 15.

After Monday night’s goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion Martinez said: “We all share the same frustration. We wanted to win the game and we wanted to perform well. The players had the perfect attitude and mindset and the perfect focus that allowed us to control the game. You don’t see many games in the Premier League when the opposition has no shots on target.

“We had a few games where we have managed that, but at the other end we are missing a little magic and those moments we have seen so many times from Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar and even Aiden McGeady – they have real quality in finding space.

“The second half we all got frustrated, the players to the crowd and that can be vice versa from the crowd to the players.”

But Martinez was pleased with the attitude shown by young midfielder Ross Barkley despite the frustration evident in the crowd.

“Ross didn’t have a fantastic evening but he didn’t show any signs of weakness, of not wanting the ball and not wanting to show for it,” added the Blues boss. “That’s a sign of incredible character - and that’s the way things will turn.”

I have used the word deluded alot lately but mainly to the RM supporters who think he is the man too take us to the next level, but this drivel accompanied by the rest of the [Poor language removed] spin he tries to put on his and his players failure is unbelievable.

At times it is important for a manager to protect a player and not be entirely truthful about something but with Roberto much likes his tactics, its all one way. I just think its deceitful and condescending to the fans who pay top dollor to the club

I agree with what he was saying. Even last season with Ged on one wing and Kev on the other it rarely worked. We really missed that link up player. If only the transfer window was open and we could look for that kind of player.

Is he seriously insinuating that the return of pienaar and osman will give the team the spark it needs. Two 30 year olds who haven't been anything special for the last few seasons are going to lead us on a biblical crusade away from the drop zone. Absolute drivel.

Martinez must believe his own hype. Hes turned us into wigerton

No, that's not what he's saying. He's saying that we need players who have the eye for something more intricate and e players we have are Osman and Pienaar.

It would be pretty stupid if he came out and said, "we are missing Cesc Fabregas" wouldn't it?

Here's an issue that's only getting worse. Fans who think they know more about footy than professional coaches and managers. Like the ones who booed the Besic substitution because they actually thought Martinez didn't know he was having a good game! Or the tit on the radio who was complaining that the newspapers say the boss is always going after rubbish wingers when it's obvious we need a centre half!

Not tor drive a tired point but Cleverely in the summer would have been able to fill in for them in the team. But ship sailed before horses have bolted and all that.

Think it is obvious to everyone we miss players in the team when we are deviod of ideas, but no pienner means Martinez has no idea how to get the best out of Baines either so it takes 2 creative players out the team in one go.

Osman for me is finished as a top flight footballer. If he was signed for like half a million last summer people would agree with me. He has been great but he is seen as a first team player on sentiment alone nowdays if he ever comes back. I have been one of his biggest fans over the years but osman bar the odd goal isnt the solution to our problems.

I have noticed banter levels have gone down in the team. Praying for a win has also gone down dramatically.

Who brings the bantz? OSMAN
who knows God? PIENAAR.
