Here Lies Some of our Issues - Deluded!!!!

Believe me if he relegates the Everton FC his future as a Manager becomes very limited...he is basically washed up as a genuine candidate for any big Clubs.
Definitely feeling it.
I want him gone regardless of our finish this season, he just does not learn from his mistakes. Its so sad to be thinking this of him after last season, but his overall record as a Premier League manager is pretty poor tbh.

Cleverely was booed off the pitch against Liverpool. He was terrible.

Cleverely is getting the Osman treatment at VillaTalk, there are endless pages of this stuff:

He is so bad. Can we send him back now and pretend he never played for us?

any manager worth his salt, would see what we see.

To think we were willing to pay £8m for Cleverley!

Commentators today saying how he might snub us for Everton during the Summer. I'd be surprised if Everton were in for him again seeing how poor he has been for us.
Reply: Cleverley "snubs" us?
We can always live in hope I guess.
I doubt another Premiership side outside of the bottom 3/newly promoted sides would want him, based on his performances for us.

Tom Dumberley has got to be probably the worst player i have seen in my 35 years of supporting us!

Wish we would send him back now!!

A poor player in a team that is struggling to even not lose every week never mind score a goal to win one. Think it settles Clverely isnt Zinadine Zidane and wont take on 5 players by himself lol

I'm not a cleverly expert and he may well be terrible for us. I merely suggest the signing of him as he can cover those roles. I havent seen the lad play this year so no idea if he is a poor player in a poor team or a player who cant play because the team he is in is poor. Who knows?

Christ, blaming us being embarrassingly awful because we don't have Osman and Pienaar available? I'll have whatever Roberto is smoking.

he is yet another dud...would be wasting yet more good money on average footballers at best...NO!

I actually wouldn't minded it if we gotten him on loan or cheap and would have thought it might have been a good signing. He even looked good 1st first couple matches, since then though my god he's been awful. Its perhaps the only bullet we dodged this season.

Never been a huge fan of either but he's right in this instance, and the proof is in Baines and Coleman both looking like half the players they were last year. Osman might be limited, but one thing he can do is put his foot on the ball and then release it to an overlap - something I've literally not seen Naismith do once. What we're lacking is players who can make those triangles on the edge of the opposition box, as opposed to either running away from the player who has the ball, or knocking it straight back to them because they can't play with their back to goal under pressure.

Pienaar and Osman both see passes that Naismith, Mirallas, even Barkley don't look for. They might not have the ability to play them all the time, but right now those are the kind of balls we're not even attempting. The teams crying out for a number 10 who can pick a pass even when receiving the ball under pressure. Who else in the squad even gets close to that description other than these two? Saying we're missing them isn't the same as saying there aren't better players out there, or that this is where we desperately need to buy. Can't believe people think that either wouldn't help us break down teams like West Brom though.

I really think we are missing a player like Pienaar or Osman. But the problem is that if Pienaar or Osman gets fit anytime soon they will porbably not play like the old (younger version of) Pienaar or Osman.

He doesn't want to be there, and probably is a bit better player that what they currently have at Villa but him as a starter in the center midfield is not a option we should be looking at. A number 3-4 CM, on a free for peanuts yea I'd take that. My fear in signing him though would be that Bob would use him as cover on the wings which is what Lambert is doing now and he is really really terrible (like worst player in the prem terrible) there.

I'm just not sure we need a winger. If we're playing one of the bigger teams who are going to actually come out of their half then obviously having the pace of someone like Mirallas on the break is crucial. The "winnable" games we're struggling with though, that's where the width should be coming from a full back who's not as arsed about leaving gaps at the back as they are against a better side. Having three players in behind Rom who can ALL pick a pass, receive it under pressure, play one touch football - that's got to be more important then having a winger who's never going to have the space in front of them to use their pace.

I'm not for a second comparing them in terms of ability, but who's more important for City: Navas or Silva? Says it all that an aging crocked Osman and Pienaar are the closest we have to the latter, but who else in the squad is even remotely that type of player?

What makes me depressed is Martinez saying that restricting WBA to no shots on target is some kind of achievement. To begin with, we only had about 3 - 4 ourselves, and they were mainly long range shots stopped with no difficulty by West Brom. Secondly, West Brom came with a game plan - defend madly, deny our forwards space, get an away point, and it worked well. What our game plan was nobody knows.

Whining about injuries and refereeing decisions is embarrassing too. The team we put out should have been good enough to sweep WBA aside.

Don't know whether to laugh or not.

I don't know what happen to the team. It strikes me as if they ain't motiviated.

Transfer window is open and I do expect Roberto to bring someone in to do a Pienaar type job. Afterall we are in dire need of it.

Laugh?

GCHQ Cheltenham are picking up faint echoes of tittering coming from northern spain... that's all the laughing that's going on.
Apart from all those laughing AT us

Cleverely was booed off the pitch against Liverpool. He was terrible.

This must be the only player where we all agree he is s---

He was absolutely awful in that game which I watched. I can't see him getting much time now they have Gil.

not going to happen according to Roberto... very little chance of any additions

Seriously do you believe in what he said (to the press anyway)? Last January he said we won't be getting McGeady and a few days later we got him off the Russian.
