Your attempts to try and polarise the debate about Martinez is really quite cringeworthy and it's got beyond boring, so I'm calling you out on it.

You've attempted to undermine the opinion of anyone who's questioned his tiki taka style and debate it's effectiveness as somehow wanting a 'return' (really?) to agricultural football, which is to try and to create the illusion that there's nothing in between Martinez tepid, ineffective, dull, tiki taka and Wimbledon in their pomp.

When in fact David, there's a whole spectrum of footballing styles that are played in leagues across the continent. Your issue is clear, you firmly nailed your colours to the Martinez mast from the off, and you're terrified that he's going to fail and (In your mind) make you look a chump. So you're creating this fantasy World where people who dare to think he's not all that are plotters lol and there's all sort of conspiracies at play - all having one aim, to excuse the man you so firmly backed of the responsibility for his obvious failure.
That's a great post...except for the fact that its premise is utterly flawed. I've not exactly been slow at coming forward in criticising the manager that I've 'nailed my colours to the mast' for. Far from it.

Me, I believe in a bit of loyalty. Loyalty to the manager who got all the plaudits for last season (you included). The real issue here is why you're so fickle in your support for Martinez rather than why I'm so steadfast in my support. I'm glad to say though that the usual 2/3rds of those who've voted on this poll so far err toward loyalty. That's a lesson the failed plotters need to learn sooner rather than later.

BTW, there may well be a whole spectrum of football styles, but you're obvious distaste for a possession based game shuts you off to at least half of that spectrum.

I think a private jet would only insense the fans more. I personally would love to see Bobby Martin travelling in style.

I know that, I misread your post, I thought you said G6. I think a relegation battle would require an ak47. Strong, hard, unbreakable it can get dirty and work. A weapon we can rely on.

The Soviets used the steamroller tactic Dave. Horrendous mass casualties but it was effective and got them results.

Me thinks the plotters want the same for Everton.

Skill and guile out the window.... ?
The way Pulis gets results - I'd rather get relegated. Not even close to joking. It's a crime against humanity.

You animals, possession based football is proven. Last night we had around 639 passes against West Brom and 4 shots on target. That equates to:

159 passes before a shot on target was achieved

Or

7.1 passes every minute

Or

Shot on target every 22.5 minutes

Who doesn't want to watch that, so much intensity and possession, oh god the possession, possession everywhere

What really worries me is that there may be players who pull on an Everton shirt, but who, ultimately, wouldn't be too fussed if we went down, knowing that a 'big' club, with 'ambition', would come in for them and they could complete their 'dream move'.

I don't think last night was the same though, we have been playing more direct lately, and been more effective because of it. Last night, we played a team who had absolutely no intention of coming out of their own half, playing in a way most teams would struggle to break down. We tried it long, direct, short but it didn't happen. It might have, if our resident Belgian shithouse didn't have his episode, but there you go.

And it's what we all expected, and if we were still playing now I doubt we would have scored.

I want to know why, when we have the ball in the final 3rd, we don't have a deep running midfielder, you know just to try and pull someone out if position to create a bit of space.

Instead everyone stands in the same position snap just moving the ball left to right, and back again. It's lacklustre and to easy to defend, as proven last night and in many other games this season
