We need a young experienced Goalkeeper - a central defender who can play , and head set pieces away safely - a creative midfielder with pace - and a fast winger who can cross the ball and take a corner - Other than that we are desperate!lol

Just how Atsu was in Holland?? These types of players do something wonderful once on a blue moon, the cameras catch it and everyone goes mental about how we should sign him.

He's raw pace with very a limited end product. Bolasie has found is niche at palace, he hasn't got the attributes to step up to higher level
......

Palace are above us?

And?? Don't understand what your point is

My point is that you can't say that he's found his level at palace and not think he would improve us when palace are above us and have more points.

He's a decent player and would absolutely improve us in wide areas. Can't really see how you could see the opposite? He destroyed us this year and last year.

Even if you are right and all he does is just "kick and run", well that's more than what our 3 wingers apart from Mirrallas do. We are crying out for someone to try and beat a man and have the pace to counter quickly. Deulofeu was just that last season.

I think you're bonkers if you think he wouldn't improve us

Perhaps but do you not think we can do better?

Definitely. But I don't think just because we could do better we should scoff at what the likes of Bolasie could bring to us. He's a typical winger, and I'm sure with that his effective performances are as frequent as his ineffective, but unless you have 30 odd million to shell out on a Sanchez we will always have this type of player.

If Bolasie was available for reasonable money then I would personally go for him just because we need some positive, pacey footballers in the side.

If we can get better then absolutely, get better.

We have the worst defensive record in the League (or whatever the statistic is) and 54% of the fans want to blow the budget on a winger! Mirallas and Oviedo can play on either wing, Lukaku has done well on the right wing. Pienaar is not dead yet. McGeady might have had a few stinkers, but he's no worse than the team overall, this season. Neither is Atsu. We have two great wing-backs in Baines and Coleman. If we were stronger in the centre-back positions, those two would have more freedom to go forward, like they have been doing for the past three seasons. If there is any money available, it must go on at least one centre-back. Now is the time to buy- this season is almost a write-off, so it might as well be used to bed new players in, ready for a return to normal service in August.

Edit- I've just voted for a winger by mistake, and I cannot work out how to change it. What a tit I am.

I think a winger, bizarrely, would bring some defensive stability.

Too many times against the better teams we are playing with little or no pace and so when under the cosh we aren't giving them anything to think about on the counter.

Remember Newcastle away last season, that goal by Barkley? Barkley, Lukaku and Deulofeu broke forward like a bolt of lightning. This season, especially with Ross out of form and playing different positions, we don't have anything on the break. Teams therefore are just peppering us because they know if they pin us back they can't hurt us.

The recent adoption of Plan B- IE hit it long to Lukaku- seems to have given us some strength on the counter, so this at least partially addresses your concerns.

What I find most annoying is that Coleman hardly ever runs to the bye line any more (with the ball). He almost invariably cuts inside about 20 yards short of it. Is this because his injury has deprived him of pace, or is it duff tactics coming from the manager?

He's awful and I think you're bonkers if you think he would improve us.

He his one of the worse footballers in the Prem, but because he tore us apart in a couples games then he should be brought in.

Matt Smith had a stormer a couple of years ago against us and the RS for Oldham, shall we sign him up as well

*sigh

I remember when Evertonians used to want the best, looks like the modern generation are happy with sub standard.

May want to watch him in other games to get an idea of how bad he is, or get off fifa as it's not a real representation of life

Mate, lighten up. We have a difference of opinion on a footballer. It's got nothing to do with a generations of fans, fifa, matt smith or anything else.

He's quick. He's direct. He can beat a man. He would improve us no end in games where we will look to counter-attack.

He is a typical winger in his attitude ie struggles for consistency and motivation. Just like McGeady, Mirrallas and Atsu. Ribery, Robben and CR are probably the only wingers in world football who aren't inconsistent...you can want them all you want but we ain't getting them.

If you don't agree then that's your right, but don't kid yourself that you know better than anyone else because you've not realised this isn't the 80's anymore.
