2-0 up in that QPR game,no way the visitors were going to score,I spent the last ten minutes just staring at the ref waiting for the whistle to signify we were CHAMPIONS and all the childhood agonies of near misses,hard luck stories,having to go in to school and face the laughing RS when they were winning everything,just dissipatedlollollol
I was at university in the north east but travelled down with three other Blues in a mark 1 Escort to see us do it. We went straight back that night and celebrated together in a student union bar. Looking back, though, I wish I'd been closer to my dad's side of the family so I could have stayed in Netherton that night. Would have loved to have been in Liverpool city centre that evening.
